my good wife saw fit to buy me tickets to the Canadian GP, (there are some benefits to turning 40), is anyone else going? We have 3 days passes, but I fear the wife will get fatigue by Saturday morning, so I am looking for options for a nice placatory meal in downtown, I know a lot of places must be booked out, but there must be some half decent restaurants that won't have been hogged by the corporates beano types? Anyone got any good recommendations?

cheers.

Wibble.

can't help with the restaurant but make sure you get to the track early on Sunday, it's possible protests will disrupt the public transport later in the day.

Turned out Garde Manger could squeeze us in( with no reservation), the shrimp and lobster risotto was amazing ( the wife's dish wasn't bad either! )

Have been a few times but sadly can't recall any decent eateries. Great circuit, efficiently organised and all in all had some superb times there.
We had tickets in the stand just next to the hairpin, no idea what its called, but a great vantage point.
Jealous!

We would appear to be at the 'Toundra' corner, not bad as they have to bang down the gears and sling shot past us, drivers parade in 1/2 hr ...

Sorry about the late response - if you're still looking for a restaurant (and enjoy a GOOD steak) try Queue de Cheval.
It's a few years since I was there, but is in my top 3 restaurants of all time.
