Just tap in to google Maldonado crash - and see how many incidents he's had !

Amazing that he didn't kill anyone
Comes over a crest of a hill, and discovers a car in the way, and loses control trying to avoid. It's a bad crash, but I don't think he was going any faster than anyone else, he just had the misfortune of a car directly in his path after a blind crest.

Red flag is already out and the yellow flag is at the top of the crest. No excuses.

Today was quite clearly a racing incident where he lost the back end while defending his position and was just unlucky.

Valencia he should have rejoined the track in a safer manner and waited for the next chance to pass a struggling Hamilton.

Monaco and Spa were completely different though and hitting someone on purpose is worthy of a ban IMO.

I do seem to remember that in the year he won the GP2 championship he was great at the races he lead from the front, but had quite a few incidents when getting through the pack.

He is a dangerous driver. He's got a real problem with his aggression and quite frankly should of gotten a race ban for driving into Perez. Let's not forget he did the same thing to Lewis in Spa last year.
Agreed.
Seriously? A race ban for the collision with Perez? On what grounds?
Chance to try out new career in Banger Racing.

Yup, but as I said, he comes over the crest and the car is across the circuit. He doesn't seem to be going that fast to me.

Apart from the flags that waving yellow and red - before the crest. But regardless he's a driver who has had and caused a lot of accidents. I saw that someone said he brought 27million to Williams this year !

what did Mal do wrong then?
It was a practice session.

He deliberately and aggressively tried to make a "point" about being held up - which cost him NOTHING in a practice session - and hit another car.

He was trying to get "revenge" and used his car as a weapon to do it, just the same as Spa - absolutely unacceptable.

Seriously Andy, how on earth can you defend someone crashing during a red flag?

He's going faster than the car before and after him.

In any case its utterly reckless to be doing that sort of speed against a waved yellow/red approaching a blind crest.

I'm not defending him. I'm just saying what I see, nothing more. Last year was Massa bashing year, and I think this year will be Maldonado bashing year. The reactions to the incident today over what was a simple racing incident is an example of the overreaction some folks have to their 'enemy' when they do something like that. Bringing up incidents from 3 years ago add nothing to the event today. Still, someone posted it, and I respo des. He comes over a seeming blind crest, and takes avoiding action, with unfortunate consequences, but I don't see it as anything else. It was a red flag incident, he wasn't trying to gain places, or race anyone. It was a mistake. The way some people are talking, and calling him thug, cock, prick, and so on in various threads, you would think that he is some psychopath. As I said, he should have received a ban in spa last year, but no other incident, certainly not in F1 has merited the hatred towards him.

Frankly, after the Massa abuse in recent times, I am getting a bit fed up of the torrents that come out at times. I'm not loyal to any single driver. I have the bunch I like, but I like to think I am impartial enough not to come to rash decisions.

Stewards agree he was in the wrong.
Pastor Maldonado was handed a 10,000 Euro fine and given a reprimand by the race stewards for his part in a collision

Of course that's peanuts to him but it's also a reprimand. Not sure if there's a points system as per the MSA ?

He broke the guy's back, not his leg.
I wasn't sure which so went with the less dramatic option.
yeah what's a lifetime of immobility amongst mates.

I had assumed you'd know what I meant by that but obviously I didn't make myself clear enough.

Who mentioned Hero. I gave my opinion. I haven't even talked about the incident of the banning. Someone else posted the video we are talking about, not I.

If in doubt, make stuff up?
