He didn't exactly flourish last time he was in a high pressure environment, maybe Williams would be a better place for him.

In the last few interviews Ive seen of him, I get the impression that he is deeply frustrated inside. Caterham havent delivered a decent car and he cant take their bulls t anymore. imo he is easy peasy as good as Rosberg and quite possibly very near the top guys. He deserves another chance to prove his talent. Could Ferrari offer him 200k for a season, ditch massa, save cash and see what hes got to give?

Heikki does seem to drive the balls off of the Caterham for very little reward! I think he deserves one more chance at a top team, especially if he is only to be considered a number 2 to Fred Alonso.

I think Heikki has proved that he can up his game. The stint at Caterham proves that he's got 100% out of the car and rarely delivered a less than brilliant performance.
Surely another crack in a competitive car is deserved.

You can tell he is hungry for some podiums.. it would be nice to see what he could do in a better car. Seems alot more confident.

Let's not forget that whilst Heikki was soundly beaten on points by Hmailton when they were team mates, qualifying often told a different story; he was often fuelled a little heavier but the time gap to LH was often less than the supposed penalty of his extra fuel. He's always been quick!

Has literally every driver except Massa and Alonso been linked to the second Ferrari seat? stephen300o said: Maybe the Caterham is a good car. You never know, Toyota's last F1 car looked quite fast in Kobayashi's hands even though they had stopped developing it and it was his first F1 race.

Journeyman. Can't see Ferrari being remotely interested.
Williams would be a better fit as someone noted above.
I would have thought Ferrari will go for someone like Perez. Quicker raw talent, able to mould them etc.
Did he have a choice other than the Caterham seat?

Did he have a choice other than the Caterham seat? Dunno, he could fill the Ferrari seat for much cheapness for a year, leaving their options open with all this talk of a Vettel pre-contract etc.

Not exactly a sparkling CV. Look beyond that though and bar his time at Mclaren (where let's face it Lewis was always going to be their favourite and Heikki was there just to fill a space) he's not really been in competitive machinery.

Hmm. Seem to recall Fisichella was on a par performance/results wise?
