How much say does a driver actually have? At the end of the day they are an employee, if the team decides to employ a driver they think will extract the best results for them, they should shut up and get on with it! Personally i would absoloutely love to see Hamilton and Alonso as team mates at Ferrari, i think they would push each other to the limits of their talent.

If you employed him would you do something to piss him off and perhaps send him elsewhere?

When your driver has been dragging your car towards the top of the grid for the whole season despite it never being the best car and being quite crap for the majority of it. I'd say quite a lot in that case. Do Ferrari really want to deal with what happened between them at McLaren? I doubt it.

Did this sort of thing go on years ago? Did Colin Chapman have to ask one of his drivers permission first? What does Alonso have to be afraid of? If you think you are the best driver in the world and want to prove you are the best driver in the world then in principal you would not care who your teammate is? I guess these big ego's just can't handle the thought of being beaten by their team mate? As for a repeat of what happened at Mclaren, yes it was all rather amusing wasn't it!

Prost also had a clause in his contract stating Senna would not be a team mate.

Had Ronnie decided not to honour his contract he would have left Mario in his wake. However Ronnie was a gentleman & honoured his contract. I seem to recall that Mario acknowledged that Ronnie was quicker than he was.

Lots of things that go on now didn't go on years ago. If you're the best driver in the world, a team mate who goes out of his way to spoil your race can still spoil your race. Do you not think Lewis and Fernando's egos can't handle that? I'm sure they're really interested on hearing your thoughts on that... P.S. Was it rather amusing the title being decided by squabbling leading up to the races? No, not really, then again I like watching racing, not soap operas.

LH and FA seem to have been getting on of late, there were even the odd kind word between them earlier in the season, but Nah, LH will be at McL next year, I'd bet a nut on it.
I'd love to see Heikki in a better car, even playing rear gunner for FA.

As far as I can tell the only person not being linked to a Ferrari seat is Massa......
