I thought that we could have a separate thread just for today's meeting...

I know that the BTCC has a general thread, but it would to be nice to cover the meeting as a whole.

Support races:
Porsche Carrera Cup
Vertu Mini Challenge
F4
Legends
Radicals

Good start to the season... Craner curves into Craner lake.
Plus, the track will be extra slippery due to the nearby airport.

I’ve never understood the airport thing, are we to believe planes spray aviation fuel all over the surrounding area?

I know that it used to be a problem in the past...current aviation fuel must to be a lot cleaner.

Tuned in to watch the first race on TV.

I'm in SW Scotland. Yesterday and today glorious sunshine here.

Couldn't believe the weather in Donnington.

Pretty tough call for the organisers.

Looks no worse than knockhill last Sunday where multiple grids of club racers managed to have a great day's racing without much incident.

Maybe they are being a bit cautious, as it's on National TV.

To completely misquote Billy connelly, 'there's so such thing as bad weather, just the wrong tyres' smile

Big thumbs up to Jade... Doing a great job.
Baptism of fire...obviously, she has good insight about the drivers & teams, it's also nice to hear the views of a driver from the current era.

Ahhh... finally some racing.(2023).

It's the multiple rivers that are the issue. I've never seen Donington (or any other track, including Knockhill) with that many rivers and racing happening.

A mixed up grid in mixed conditions... It's going to be interesting.

Very relieved to see the driver walk away from that legends car. The way his head shook around as it landed was horrific.
