Cheers mate thumbup

Examiner was a top man, very talkative and friendly from the off - made me feel right at ease.

I noticed I splashed the woman and started grumbling but he told me he got done for it too when he was younger! Received a fine for it.

He stated that as it wasn't done on purpose there was nothing he could penalise me for except for awareness (should've been aware of the problem as reduced my speed accordingly).

Good photo's.

Sounds great and I am glad you are enjoying it. I agree , I think it was the persons fault. She shouldn't be outside in the rain. hehe

Have fun and I can't wait to turn 17 in December.

Well done, we can all remember that feeling I'm sure, its great.

Maybe work on your parking a bit hehe

Something I found really good was to plan a proper little 'trip' somewhere - out to the coast or something. A mixture of roads that your not used to, different towns etc.

Car looks great, my cousin had a Mk4 Purple Fiesta as his car, he'd managed to find (god knows how) an absolutely mint, zero rust one, it was a beaut. Was the 1.25 Zetec too. I would have had it off him as a run-about if the timing had been right.

Well today has been the first day I haven't gone out in the car since Thursday (change that after I finish work at 2100).

Isn't fuel expensive though? Spent £50 since Thursday but hoping the excitement will die down soon hehe

Great to hear you still enjoy it. I think the novelty will wear off but enjoy it while you can.

Off topic sorry, but where do you work. I am finiding a pain to get a job. I don't sit on my arse all day either.

Have you thought of a place to put your PH sticker? My sister won't let her put one on her Fiesta. frown

I work in the local village shop mate. Round here, people my age either work in shops/supermarkets or pubs. IIRC, you're still 16 so can't work behind the bar (unless you have a relaxed landlord in local village pub!!) but you can waiter. Drop your CV (if you havent got one, make one!) in to local pubs/shops. In fact, try your local taxi companies for phone answering jobs!

Ok thanks.

I do have a CV, I am 16 and have applied for some jobs. I never thought of Taxi dispacher though. Most of the pubs are closing down around by me. frown

Thanks Anyway.

PH sticker will probably go on rear window, right hand side! Need to order it...

Anyway, up to £95 on fuel since Thursday (I earn £78 a week!) but here's a quick snap at the base of the Severn Bridge. Plan to take the camera up there soon in the dark.

Hmmm, just found out a friend of mine who I was out with earlier crashed his car about an hour ago (gen going round it's damaged enough to be a write off). No one was hurt (thankfully) but knocked me back for 6 and another reminder to stay safe and not to muck about. frown

It was only a 1.0l Corsa but his pride and joy like my Fiesta.

Sorry to hear that. It would knock your confidence if your friend crashed.

I don't think he would have been doing something silly to write it off though.

My sister had a 1996 Mk4 Ford Fiesta 1.25 Ghia. It was immaculate with 45,000 miles on the clock and some toys. It only cost her £500! 6 months later she was coming home from college and she went over a hill and on the other side was a traffic jam. She braked but hit a '55' Ford KA at less than 10mph and it was only a nudge. They wrote her car off. frown

The only damage on her car was a cracked headlight and number plate. and a small crease in bonnet. We had a estimate of £70 to fix it all. The insurance wrote it off though as they said it was too old for economical repair. Although she sold it to the Insurance for £750. laugh

So I guess what I wanted to say is your friend might not of bieng silly to write his car off. It could have been that it was just too old. frown

how did the accident happen?

btw I'm really enjoying your little updates and pictures yes it proves that it really doesn't matter what you drive... PH is a state of mind, not the value of the car/bike/motorboat you play about with smile

Thanks folks, I'm enjoying driving it too!

Appears he misjudged a corner (whether he was speeding or not, I don't yet know) made contact with the curb, then made contact with the curb on the other side of the road, going up it and coming in to contact with a wall.

I shall try and find out some more details when I go out later with a few mates.

It's a shame though as I had a lovely drive out with him last night, The Chain by Fleetwood Mac blaring and some lovely NSL roads (not too twisty though, can't afford have an accident) all sticking to the limit as well! Was bliss smilesmile
