Tom, Nice car! I know you have barely had the car a day but I would be interested to know how you think the Clio compares to the 205?

I sold a 205 GTI last year to save it from the daily grind and got a 172 Cup in the hope it would be a modern equivalent. The 172 Cup is an awesome and capable car but it never feels as special as the Pug did, if you know what I mean?

its certainly faster than the pug in every way, it grips like it has 4wd
i loved my pug to bits and pieces but this is in a different league,
i know what you mean, it has plenty of character but still doesn't have as much as the 205 did
there was always a sense of relief when te 205 started first time whereas this it is obviously expected
but i dont think the pug is a patch on this though

Aye, the Clio RS's could leave my old pug for dead but I preferred driving the pug tbh, it felt special without even moving. The pug had such charm and for me had perfect ride and damping, though I do drive on pretty rough roads.

I am very envious of your Recaro's!
