Put the detachable tow bar to good use having bought a tow bar mounted bike carrier

It’s much better than my roof mounted one to be honest, so I think I’ll be stealing the 330i more.

Annoyingly the plug for the electrics points at the diffuser so it’s pretty much impossible to plug anything in. I might see if I can bend the bracket to improve access.

Might take you up on that. I need to strap a camera to the bonnet to be honest to get the best clips.

Even some drive boys might be ok.

Not too much to report but on this at the moment. It had another wash yesterday because it looked really sorry for itself after the last few weeks of rain.

It’s not far off ticking over 169k now. It needs a new pollen filter according to the the CBS but I can’t remember if I’ve already changed it but will probably pop a new one in given how cheap they are and it’s due an interim oil change shortly.

I still need to do the rocker cover gasket and CCV system but haven’t really been motivated to do it. I’ll get that sorted soon since I have the parts here.

The last big job is the rest of the suspension refresh once I’ve bought M3 LCA’s (which are hard to find at the mo). I’ve got the otter arms and the bushes, so it’s just finding the time to fit it all.

We’re heading up to the Lakes for a few days tomorrow, so I checked the coolant level, oil etc and gave the old girl a wash because it hasn’t been done for a few weeks.

Citrus pre-was doing its thing

Obligatory snow foam shot

Washed, dried and given a quick coat of ceramic detainer until I can have a day detailing it.

I’ve also replaced the sunglasses cubby with just the basic cubby from the LCI car because it’s more useful. It’s gone up loads since the last one I bought, but hey ho. I did mate a slight boo-boo removing the centre console trim; it turns out the wood is much more delicate at the edges so I new one has been order from Global Parts and will be fitted this weekend.

Whilst cleaning the interior, I noticed that the carpets were a bit damp under the rubber mats. I’m hoping it’s just rain etc that’s got under the rubber this week and not been able to dry. I’ve removed the mats tonight to let it dry out but will keep an eye on things.

Tow bar fitted ready for the bike rack in the morning.

All that is left is to full it with super and check the tyre pressures.

Cheers Tom. It’s getting there although it looks better in n pictures that up close!

It does t like we’re too far from there; we’re staying in Crosthwaite and are planning to ride at Ullswater and will no doubt end up on Ambleside at some point to might head to Tweedies if it’s any good.

I’d check the door membranes if you’ve not before. They come loose on old E9x models.

That’ll be my next port of call if I notice any more dampness in the footwells in the future.

Touring looks superb Sam; colour is stunning, more so with those wheels thumbup

Good luck in getting the damp sorted; it'll be something simple hopefully

Have a good break away; it's foul as 40 bumholes here in Lancashire currently; so you know it'll be the same in the Lakes biggrin

It's not the Lakes if it's not lashing it down winklaugh

Cheers Dan.

The drivers side is bone dry but apparently the passenger side is slightly damp again so I’ll pop the door card off at some point.

The weather is a bit st so far (just stopped near Preston).

rofl

It’s not quite as bad as forecast but it’s not pleasant…it’s a bit different to last year.

The car did well though, 145miles on quarter of a tank even with loads of stuff in the boot. It’s not even that dirty.

Cheers Lee.

It photographs well, but it’s still a six footer after nearly 170k.

My 330i is more of a 10 footer, but Sparkling Graphite isn't that exciting anyway!
