I'm using a Holley sniper set up, You can run it returnless with a Holley pump module that drops in the standard tank replacing the original sender.
How does that work, OOI?
Holley sell Pump modules for some popular muscle cars that replace the original sender . It's an in tank pump and fuel level sender unit. The pump has an internal regulator so you dont need to run a return line. drop it in, wire it up and connect to the original hard line. Simple as that.
Thanks !

Well, problem number one - got to Surrey, where the car is parked, and the battery was completely flat. In one week since I drove it, not great. So draining to somewhere...investigation required.

I feel cheated of an evening of V8 burble, now.
I disconnect my Firebird's battery whenever it's parked for a few days. Avoids any such drainage issues.

Tbf, a 60's Camaro whould have little to no drain, and should allow the car to sit for a long while.

Finding current drain is a proper pain, I hate car electrics. Buy a clamp meter.

I was going to suggest starting here also, given it seems to have had a lack of use over the last few years.

Sod driving it though. I could just look at it all day.

Plenty of space to keep a jumppack after you've bought a new battery!

Even the little lithium battery might be OK if the car's battery is normal size? The Halfords 3L one had no problem with my V8 Cayenne and their batteries are huge.

Most likely, and I hope so, given the car has sat for ages.

Thanks for the other tips chaps!

Yes this is the glaring omission in this thread that needs rectifying immediately nono

And don't scrimp on the lumpy idle either please.

Am in the US and thinking of bringing back a Vintage Air system in luggage, as I have a two bag, 32kg each allowance.

A hell of a lot cheaper than getting it in the UK, even with duty paid.

That's just common sense.

I'm just bloody confused as to which one to buy, as my car has been modified with a 427 Corvette engine, from the same year (1969). I assume this is the kit? My car has no Aircon controls in it, so I assume no factory air.

and the kits requires the following questions answered. As I am new to the car, and not with it, I have no idea what to specify!

Pulley will depend on what belts/pulleys it is running 8 rib serpentine will be an aftermarket setup.

None factory

Have you got a mechanical or electric fan?

Last 2 are your own choice.

For what it's worth, Jay Leno always mentions Vintage Air being retro fitted to his cars. That's a decent endorsement.

Whenever I see specs discussed on old American stuff it gets very detailed, very quickly. I think I'd want to talk to someone directly. They will know what questions to ask to help you spec what you need.

If your car doesn't already have electric cooling fans then I'd budget to switch to them and spec your aircon system accordingly.
