I quite like a bit of torque steer and turbo lag. Having to do a bit of work is more fun that just flooring it.

Definitely, all adds to it's character. Watching the Harry Metcalfe review, with his Son, they took it in turns to review the Veloce Giulietta (same as the QV) they both decided it's the Alfa they would pick the keys up for, and both enjoyed the fact that you have to work it a bit.

Another quick update, the cars been saying to change the oil, it may well have been done with the recent service, but i couldn't see a mention of it,

I booked it into our local garage, oil change all completed, although he did find that the inside of the brake disks were quite rusty, and could do with changing..

Also my rear drivers side coil spring is very corroded, so will need changing ASAP, Looks like it will be an expensive oil service!

My car wanted its oil changed but was told it was done in Jan, I checked the colour on the dipstick and yep it was lovely and golden so just got the light reset.

I should have checked that to be honest!

This certainly does sound smoother since it's been done, unless it's my imagination.

I just need to look for some new coil springs, it may be worth replacing all, or the 2 rears. I've always thought tend rivers side rear looks a bit lower than the other side.

I'd get as a bare minimum both rear ones done.

Thank you, I'll start researching now. I could ask my local specialist or the chap who did the oil service.

Not sure about to do about the brakes either, they're rusty inside, but fine on the outside, the braking performance is fine as well, from looking at the history, they look to be aftermarket vented items.

If you've got opposed piston 4 pot callipers I'd be concerned that the inner pistons aren't moving freely, or the pads are stuck on the slider pins, so they're not scrubbing off the rust. The brembos are so good they'll stop you even with half the pistons working.
