That will be one quick car when its done, nice! Putting front drive lumps in the rear is a good way to go.

Just one comment though, its a shame the rear coilover top mounts couldn`t go to the major tube junction instead of the middle of a tube.

nice ride.

never been a fan of the saxo. I drove a LAD saxo vtr years back. It was nice, but not for me. The conversion looks immense. I know a few drivers who look down on the saxo. Your saxo bangs them to rights. It would be a good laugh hunting down some of the big guns outthere and giving them a lesson.

Would not like to be in a major crash though.

Looks lovely, would love to see it in the flesh.

My one thought: How cum the conversion does not incorperate a full roll cage? i would be a little worried that with such a huge change to the chasis the shell has been severly weakened?

like i say, its just constructive critism, keep up the good work!!

Seen this car in the flesh up at Zcars and my god they've do a good job on it!

Conversion is so well done and you can tell Chris is chuffed to bits with it.

Noticed a lot of people have mentioned weight over the back well since the cars nearly finished its been on the scales and weighs in at around 900kg ready to run with a split of 47/53 front/rear so about as well balanced as you'd like

I'm currently going down same route with my Saxo, hence why I was over at Zcars, except I'm going for fully stripped interior, polycarbonate windows and all that to keep weight to bare minimum. Also will hopefully be having full front cage rather than just door bars.

Are you using UK (K20A2) or Jap (K20A) spec engine?

Motor is a UK spec k20...(i think), has a custom ECU and pukka exhaust, good for 240hp.

Chris drove it on Tuesday, phoned me and said 'Tis f***ing awsome lad'

He's had Performance GTI mag up there to do a feature and Track N Race car will be sticking it on the front cover (chuffed smiley)

Will be hooning round Brands Hatch on the 14th at 'Total kit car live' promoting the kit as it is now fully released.

These were taken on Sunday at Donnington.

Think it needs a valet

The young lads were lovin it, the old school kit car boys were walking past and i did overhear someone say 'Whats that doin ere then? hehe

With the right wheels, and without those number plates, this car could be awesome!

I think the point of this conversion is not the look of the car. Not at all.

Have to say I prefered the original wheels - more suited to the Q-car appeal that this car could have, and I'm also not keen on Uncle Fester and her mate...

Bloody good job though.

I think that's what Altrieza is getting at - the number plate and wheels seem a bit bling for the car.
Personally I'd have black tubing inside too.

Now i am assuming that it was either the after effects of Mrs Stella from a Saturday that prompted that insult or you just wanted to make your first post something to remember but either way it wasnt called for, how to win friends and influence people ay.

As for the number plates, well knowledge and wisdon tells us that thay arent street legal so must have been on there for a reason eh rolleyes

So whats the word on performance? You know, the vitals....Approx 0-60, Top Speed, etc

Also, I take it that the engine is the stock 2.0 Civic Type R enigine? So 200 BHP, 8000 RPM with 5 speed'box?

Exact performance unknown as yet. Will have those figures next month when i get to the Pod for a few runs up the stip. Engine is a Type-R motor with 6 speed trans, Hyrda ECU and custom exhaust, est bhp 235hp.

What i can tell you though is that it is friggin quick, and sounds marvellous. Not to noisey either. A full engine cover package is available but this car was done to show off the gubbins inside.

that is absolutely awesome!

i would go a bit more sutle with the wheels though, maybe some compomotive's or such like.

as it is though mate, it looks really good. The blue framework looks good and indeed does highlight the conversion...

as for the comments on the girls, each to their own and comments like that are a bit uncalled for IMO
