You mentioned you originally were contemplating upgrading to the 360 before you modded your 348....did you ever consider the 355..??
No. If I had a 328 then I would definetly have considered a 355, but for me the 348 and 355 are too close too each. I've also considered a black 430 as well which would have cost me £95K plus but they are coming down in price fast and it's not going to be faster than the 348 around central london.

To be honest I'm not a good enough driver to get 100% out of the 348 as it is, so any extra performance would be wasted.

Great looking car Angelis. I dont know why the 348 was always so undervalued as a Ferrari. As you say, it certainly has far less issues that many other F cars.

Very nearly bought one a while back, got sidetracked looking at 355s and then ended up with something quite different.

Anyway nothing like getting your hands dirty on your own supercar thumbup

Understood buddy.

Friend of mine just hit an £80k bid from a dealer on his 6k 56 plated F430 - freefall if there ever was!

Congrats on the car again - looks fantastic!

A mate of mine in the trade, reckons they'll be below £75K by next year. eek

I remember when you couldn't get a 360 for less than £100,000. Now they are down to £40,000.

The Lotus esprit?

A Sport 350 was actually on my shortlist along with a Noble and.....errr.....a Boxster S.

Thanks. If truth be told.... the son of the 430 Scuderia owner also liked the 348 more than his dads Scuderia. I have to give him a ride next time I see him. laughlaugh

There was a black 430 Scuderia on the kings road last night as I was walking home - looked mean as in all black but didnt sound any louder/different at idle than a 'normal' f430.

have to say id never realised jus how gorgeous these cars are- looks fantastic in black!

also sounds like you really have got to grips with the car and have done things most people would be terrified of- fairplay to you.

Not that i will ever have the money for a fezza, but if i did, id like to think id use it as you have done- for driving pleasure!

Maybe I'm a bit weird, but Ferrari's just don't do it for me. But that looks lovely in black and far prettier than the 430 it's parked next to. Really nice car mate, even the stripes are growing on me smile

And well done for getting your hands dirty wink

That's absolutely gorgeous smile I've always loved the 348, looks more dramatic than the 355 and doesn't have the Magnum P.I. connotations of the 308.328!! Wonderful cars, love that stripe and that colour especially smile

You took the engine out? People have been sectioned for doing saner things than that.

Anyhow it's a fantastic project; and nice to see a Ferrari getting treated like any other car, one to have fun in and mess about with; rather than a revered museum piece. After all Enzo started life dicking about with others' car - so there's a grand tradition.

Tis a preety car. See I have a theory about modern Ferrari's - their design department are REALLY missing pop up headlights. There hasn't been a properly jaw dropping Ferrari (apart from possibly the Enzo, but not because its pretty) since they were outlawed.

Loving it smile
