Might seem like an odd question, but has this car ever spent any time in Crete. I used to live there about 10 years ago, and used to see something very similar on a regular basis.

While i agree they shouldnt be on there, why would something that takes a small amount of effort to remove take off 10K?

Its like saying to a dealer "yeah, i like that audi, but its got a towbar, so its worth 2K less" when removing a towbar is a 10 minute job and will cost a few tenners in labour.

They make the car less desirable. Ok they might not devalue it in the monetary sense, but people will be less likely to want to buy it. Only if it means changing them for yellow shields. People would like it to be sorted.

Its not the same as a tow bar, if I saw a tow bar on a regular car I would run a mile. Its a clear indication the car engine might have been ragged

Hi, very unilely. Think it spent a lot of time in Scotland though.

I keep re-reading this thread...

Any updates?
Well, I've just put it up for sale on Pistonheads.

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/f...

If it sells, I'll get a black 360 Spider that I have my eye on.

However if it doesn't sell, I may start modding the 348 again over winter as I've provisonally agreed to have a 355 gearbox installed.

Just took it off the market. I like it to much (plus I didn't get any offers!!! rolleyesbiggrin)

Will be back to modding it. Hopefully major engine upgrades over winter and a custom rear wing/front splitter aero kit.

Not in Almiryda by any chance? I saw one of these parked next to the beach on UK plates about 2 summers ago...

Looking at having a front splitter and rear wing on the car and found a company who can make them for me in carbon. A graphic designer on Facebook played with a pic of my 348.

My original idea is to have a wide flat splitter supported by two bars. The one in the pic is more subtle but more likely to smash into pieces in the first minute of driving it.

Winglets on the side would be interesting as would cannards on the side of the front bumpers.

The pic below also has a running board on the side bottom of teh car.

Rear wing is similar to a Gallardo SL. It's for show rather than performance.

Will probably end up sticking a stripe on it as well.

A few years ago I did consider a 355 challenge wing but it just looks too big.

Well, it was all very quick but the 348 will be gone in a few days time.

Decided to part exchange it (plus cash) for a 360 F1 Spider.

Thanks for following this thread.

Here's the picture of the new car. I pick it up on saturday.

And yes... I may start (tastefully) modding it as well after a while.biggrin

Lovely.

Thanks for the thread it's been ace. Still one of the cars on PH I'd most like to have a run in.

Enjoy the 360!

Yes, the one I saw would have been in that area, I used to live on the outskirts of Almiryda in Kera in about 2007, and saw it regularly then. It used to often be parked on the road outside a house near Xerosterni, just out on the other side of Almiryda.

Very nice, in my opinion it's still one of the best looking Ferrari's made. What mods you got planned.

Man, this is total classic. Real stunning car.
Please do not get bored and disgrace it. Just lock it up safe and rust free and buy something to shop around in to keep you amused until it hits the market resting place.

Have ordered the Carbon rear grill and the Stradale gearchange ECU. Later will get a Capristo.

The original plan was to turn it into a Challenge Stradale Spider, but the car is too good so will just do a few bits here and there.
