The 348 has now be returned to its original spec and up for sale at Walkersport.

I'm really enjoying the 360 Spider and have decided not to do any modifications to it.
Thanks again to everyone for following this thread. Hopefully the new owner could carry on with.

So I've had the 360 for 3 years now and the modding itch is back.
Here is how it looked originally.
Modifications so far include:
Gruppe M carbon airbox.
19" 360 Challenge Stradale wheels
It's also had the 360CS gearbox ECU upgrade and a custom ECU upgrade by AV Engineering which is based on the 360CS but has more power. So it's in between a CS and 430.
Also a CS rear grille.
It's now currently at AV Engineering getting a split coolant hose replaced, but will return with a third party body kit attached that i got from a friend.

Angelis, always enjoyed reading your adventures tinkering with these cars. What’s the bodykit you’re fitting?
Thanks. It's a Hamann kit. Front splitter, side bits and rear diffuser.

Those intakes look luuuverly!
Wheels are a nice improvement too, stock 360 wheels are the worst Ferrari wheels of all time (IMO). I would say the stance of the 360’s wheels is pretty weak looking though, they always seem to sit quite far in board to my eye.
I agree, but the problem is that if you use spacers, it tends to upset the ride a little I've been told. Plus it hits the wheel arches.Wheels are a nice improvement too, stock 360 wheels are the worst Ferrari wheels of all time (IMO). The problem that annoys me the most about my 360 is that in certain light the paint on the bumper, bonnet and the part in between all look like different shades. Plus it has a few stone chips.
So as I'm going to paint the front end next winter, I mat as well have some fun and put a stripe on it.
At the moment I've got it down to two different stripes.
The Tricoloure
Or the CS stripe (photoshopped on my 360)
What does everyone think?

Forgot to mention a major mod that I did last year.
The standard 360 exhaust doesn't actually sound that good unless you go into a tunnel. I looked at various options including Tubi & Capristo but they wanted thousands for it. The best sounding ones are the 360 Sports exhaust which you can't get anymore and even used is over £3,000 and the 360CS exhaust which also is not available.
So instead, I sourced a 430 exhaust which is similar to the CS one. Plus a lot smaller and lighter than the standard 360 exhaust. I had to get it cut open and have the thermal adding replaced as the original one breaks down and turns into a white powder that ends up in the engine bay.
The pipes also had to be cut to fit the 360.
I also had a switch hidden under the dash with which I can open and close the valves. When open, it becomes straight though exhaust and loud!!
About 2 years ago, my 360 was featured in Modern Classics magazine where it was put up against a SL55.
The SL55 won

Have you considered a bonnet stripe the other way, I'm quite a fan.
I haven't actually. An interesting thought. What colour do you think?
Angelis,
I have just read through this thread with great interest. I admire your willingness to make the car what you what and "to hell" with what Ferrari aficionados think. You made the changes to make sure you enjoyed the car under your stewardship, not for the next owner. This is an approach I have taken with a couple of my cars. I have owned a '72 De Tomaso Pantera for about 18 years. I was never driving it because it was such a pain in the rear to start (always involved a 30 minute ritual). And after I bought my 5.0L Jag XKR in 2013, the XKR was quicker, more comfortable, didn't care if there was traffic or how hot it was outside, it just wanted to run, at that point I couldn't justify to myself putting up with the effort needed to take it on a drive. About 6 years ago, I decided that I would restore/modify the Pantera to make it more drivable and more desirable for me to want to drive it rather than resent driving it. What started as a carburetor to fuel injection changeover turned into a new built 500+hp engine, all new leather interior with C-4 Corvette seats in diamond quilted stitching, leather dash and firewall, flush windshield glass, harnesses, cooling fan upgrades and several other tweaks. Purists warn that you take away value by doing these, but I wasn't driving the car at all,, and now I drive it every weekend. I don't care what the next owner might want, it'll be after I'm dead and gone! Who cares?! I now enjoy it. Congratulations on your gutsyness.
