I remember you wanted to sell it. What keeps drawing you back in? I really want one but am torn between one of these and something rwd. :-( I need something I would use as a daily though. And have a track type car which I don't think I could part with.
Put quite simply I can't better it for what I need it does the daily grind with no issues in all weather & when wanted it can be a fast straight liner (13.5 1/4 157mph in a mile) or incredible down the twisty bits as a few Elise owners have found out I too lust after a rwd car but I would lose to much going from the rs to make it worthwhile. As I work in a garage I've driven most cars & nothing in my price bracket comes close.

Neil, is this what your after?
Oil return line for the turbo.
That's the return it's the feed bold that went is that for sale ??Oil return line for the turbo.
You can drop them a line and see if they can knock up some... The do (did) alot of stuff for the FRS around 2009 ish.
As for your RWD itch... I was in the same boat, I really wanted an Elise but felt I was going to loose too much by changing.
Until a nice Honda'd elise came up. For me, that was only going to be the only option (or an Audi conversion), which would have got me in an Elise. I ran both for a short period, and actually still used the FRS alot.
The mk1 FRS is the only car I would recommend that ticks every box... If only it was a smidge more economical.

Ty for insight. Sounds like the most practical solution for me specially as I'm not after a low mileage minter either. Seem to get a lot of car in the 7.5k range.
Don't know if a standard one would tickle
My fancy as I get that bhp out of my gtt. 280bhp sounds good to me though!
7.5k is roughly what I paid for mine, one previous owner 65k miles on it now. I have spent nearly 2k on it though on replacing things that go wrong before they do.Don't know if a standard one would tickle

Just had mine on the dyno which made 242 bhp. It's damn good fun too drive and can show cars the way too go with nearly double the power. (R1 loons brand new M3 for a start)

280 is pretty easy a generic remap (bluefin or dreamscience) a decat filter & forge actuator will see that power tbh an awful lot of cars have this sort of power already so you may as well go for one that has been done already. Be warned its addictive although I'm happy with the power mine now has But I'm always on the look out for bargain bits There are people hitting 400+ on stock internals now!!!Don't know if a standard one would tickle

Nice what do you need for 400+?
I'm taking my r5 gtt off road beginning of winter fit new engine and respray so hopefully find one by then :-)
400bhp is exhaust manifold & turbo back exhaust, hybrid turbo, induction, uprated charge cooler or front mount injectors fuel pump & a live map poss also need a new map sensor I'm taking my r5 gtt off road beginning of winter fit new engine and respray so hopefully find one by then :-)
Well not updated for a while car is waiting to go into the bodyshop after it got hit by someone in my work car park (thankfully had cctv) its having a brand new front bumper & while its in im having a complete windows down respray so it will be looking mint again
Cars on 97k now & still going strong & i got this
I now have a complete exhaust system & am happy as its not any louder than the stock system when driving normally but gives off a nice roar when its on full boost

Heyup Neil still going strong wi 97k! Good news for me I hope since I've done 90k in mine What power are you running now? Have you not breached the magic 300bhp yet? I'm due for a bit more boost and a tubular mani so be playing with approaching 350bhp come august Your right about them surprising other quick cars, my mate in his Nissan GTR has found that out a few times BTW do you have an induction kit and which one?Hoddy910 said:

98k now I got over 300 quite a while back at 17psi boost now on 22psi so should be 320 + although I'm yet to get it on the rollers I have a k&n gen 2 which hadsucke served me well but carpets express are now doing a better kit so look at that one, it does require relocating the battery to the boot though Old thread I know but just wanted to add to it.
Just wanted to add that the build number is incorrect in the thread tilte and should be 2379 which I spotted in this thread of yours Neil - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Will update the MK1 Focus RS build list so this is correct here - www.focusrsbuildlist.co.uk
Also sent you an email as could do with some help on something.

Don't do it Max! It's a Ford Legal Department sting operation to find out which address to write on the search warrant...
So very wrong, just a MK1 Focus RS anorak that has been following the build numbers for the last 9 years.Just wanted to know a little more about them for the history and found yours and Max_Torque's posts of great interest.
