"Colour to sample", not what you might think, colours are limited, I've asked. Yellow, I asked for "Light Yellow", "Fayence Yellow" and other yellows each time without sucess. The only yellow i've been offered is Speed Yellow, not very fond of that. So I've switched to one of the other "Current" Porsche colours, Basalt Black Metallic with silver wheels and full decals. Delivery Jan/Feb 2012.

At the launch Andreas said they did not want to expose it to look like as if they were showing off. Which doesn't make sense considering the stickers.lol I thought Andreas said it's to save weight. Painting it is lighter than the gel finish.

Congratulations on your allocation GRS. I picked up my meagre 3.8 RS from the Zuffenhausen in April - also went the basalt black metallic route with the white gold accents. It looks absolutely fantastic so I am sure you won't be disappointed. That yellow PTS 3.8 RS that was for sale on here a while ago looked stunning but generally I;m not that sure about the "signal" colours on the newer shaped body. Enjoy the car! Challenge is getting cold air into engine and avoid pulling heat from a rather warm engine bay. It probably helps release a few extra GeeGees along the way.
