Too expensive. They buy knackered ones given the amount of work involved.
They've all gone, now they're into the next level stuff, and let's face it, for someone the cachet of having a Singer that was based on a car formerly owned by King Hussain of Jordan, will be just too tempting.
Think of the added bragging rights at Cars 'n Coffee events !! smile
Didn't Singer say that they were stopping the Porsche Singer 964's ??

They stopped taking orders for them a while ago, with a cap of 450 of the 'classic'. They only recently announced car 300, so they have quite a backlog of work to do if all 450 are allocated.

I have my eye on the below, as I recall it was a car owned by Damien from the Car Guys channel, who was allegedly selling this onto the chaps at the Octane Collection per his video, but now it appears on CC some months later. I think it had a techart lid spoiler originally, which has been subsequently taken off. My big concern is servicing, it appears to have been sat missing any documented maintenance/servicing for the last 15 years! even though the mileage accumulated is super low. What does the PH massive think, avoid or potentially interesting? I really do love the colour combo.. Included link when it was originally sold on CC - nice business selling this car twice in 3 years smile

If it's been stored and recommissioned after it 'went missing' for the annual servicing then it's no biggie. Although it does question if it was last serviced in 2006 and next at 2021 why it was still used and MOTd from 2006 up to 2012-13 and not serviced? The mileage from 2006-12 is negligible, but it has been used and as we all know these cars are so easy to run with a second speedo that can be dropped in in 5mins so I'd do your due diligence. From the general pics it does appear to support low mileage.

For the fastidious 993 'Illuminati' owner it will be a red flag as will be the missing wiper widget. The 993 buyer/owner mentality is unique, it's not the same with 964 and earlier buyers/owners.

Saw that.
A late varioram C2 Coupe could be a lovely car.
But, looking at the pics, I think any fussy buyer will end up spending quite a lot of time and money getting it really nice.
And then it will soon be on a six figure mileage, so not in the collectible category.
Looks like a driver, rather than show car. It'd make a nice project car for someone, though I'd want to check out why the leading edge of the bonnet/trailing edge of the front bumper fit is less than stellar.

Finished on £48.5k
So about 52k inc buyers commission.
A polar silver 993 C2 with black interior is a classy spec- I can see why it had so many bids

Looks ok, apart from that odd front PU fitment.

But not ideal - it has the later long-ratio gearbox.

ETA actually, the front screen fitment looks poor from the photos - so that might be the start of significant spend for the new owner, of if she's lucky, maybe just a refit.

I bid to a point then stopped,
The car had done zero miles in 4 years, yet managed a service and 4 mot tests (one being a retest)
That’s a lots of trips back and forth to the garage without a single mile being added.

Nothing as odd as a Porsche 993 coming up to 100k miles.

Car in storage and trailered/transported to the garage/MOT station ?

More likely to have a busted odometer

Exactly that ... my 944 has just been MOT'd with the same mileage as last year ... I never noticed that whilst the speedo works fine the odometer had stopped. It doesn't do a high mileage so ...

Now being repaired !!

CC ads claims it has hollow spoke wheels, the car guys video says not, last time I looked (years ago) hollow spokes were a £4K premium.

As it's a trade sale, you'd best ask them - the tyre valve stems don't look like hollowspoke metal ones, but tyre-fitters who don't know what they are doing can put rubber ones in hollowspokes, either through ignorance or to save money, so I have heard.

A bit of a poor show to only replace one foglight with a new one.

Apart from that, it's really difficult to see anything of the bodywork as the car was parked next to a lovely 1960s building, so you can only see reflections of brickwork etc.

Superb buy at that price if it’s ok underneath (nothing to show that it isn’t). A group I’m in says it was bought by a dealer though.

As the previous owner of 2 x 996 GT3’s, that’s a bloody bargain for a CS. Gone to the trade.
