Sounds like another funn day out all for a good cause. Count me in - TVR Sagaris for passenger rides...
In that case I'll be there for passenger ride as well as driving a few laps in the R8.
Will be quite funny if I get a ride out in the car I regret selling the most :-(

I haven't read every post so apologies if I missed this - is it possible to attend as a spectator only? I am going to Ford Fair the following day so would be nice to have a whole weekend of petrolhead activities!

Not sure the top speed of my car (mk1 Focus RS) would be impressive enough to participate! laugh

Yes - as a spectator, you pay £5 to get into the event where you will find lodas to do - drive an artic lorry round the track yourself, be a passenger in someones car having some fun round the track, clothing sale, mini air show around lunchtime, loads of Asda stuff doe sale cheap, rally car circuit - mostly all costing a fiver. Also helicopter rides previously which cost about £20 based on a few people sharing - but still a bargain. Get yourself there as a spectator and you'll have a great day.

AS FOR ANYONE TAKING THEIR P&J ROUND THE TRACK, does anyone know if they plan on sweeping the track again this year? The first year I did this, everyone suffered from major paintwork stone chippage and a few cracked windscreens due to stones on the track eek Last year, I they swept the track prior to the event removing some 3 tonnes of stones in the process and it was much better. I don't fancy taking my car round if I'm likely to be needing a front end respray afterwards...

I'd be interested to know this actually as my car will (next week hopefully) be finally coming out of the bodyshop after having had a full respray! Would have to say I'd pull out if I was likely to get a load of stone chips...

Q. Can anyone visit the ‘On Your Marks’ day ?.

A. No, I’m afraid not. The charity day is for Asda colleagues and invited guests only.
It is a private event and anyone who doesn’t produce a colleague card or invite will be refused admission.

Had instructions through and hotel booked. Anyone with anything TVR / Lambo / V8 and silly fancy taking my missus out? She thinks the Exige is girly.

She can gladly come for a ride in my R500, I plan to have the screen off and Aero on too, that normally makes it extra hairy for passengers who have not experienced sub 3 seconds to 60!!

Its their faces as we take of for the firs time, when they think this little toy car can't be that dangerous!!

I shall have the camera system pointed at the passengers faces too just for the fun of it!!

She'd love that - cheers! Fastest thing she's been in is a Rotax Max kart which is probably more like 4 seconds to 60 so an R500 should keep her awake. She's utterly fearless though so that'd be awesome!

No problem, always a pleasure!!

I have managed to make one unsuspecting passenger in my R500 throw up though!! Most people just scream with excitement!!

It the cornering at speed that gets most people, most people used to even quick sports cars can never get their heads around the fact that we accelerate and not brake into corners!!

It'll only make my old shed seem even more tame. If I get a break from driving then I'll try and blag a ride myself if that's OK - car's on my profile so keep an eye open for us.

I don't think an Exige is a shed buddy!! Convinced one of my friends to buy a Exige Sport 190 a few years back, we had a lot of fun with it around Cadwell and places like that!!

You are more than welcome for a blast out in my R500 if you get time too!!

Indeed. Don't want to have the car wrecked by this. I'm booked into the hotel the night before.
