Many thanks to the PH crew and staff at AM, especially the canteen staff who were a bit overwhelmed with the hyuuuge line of hungry PHers I spend a good half of the morning chatting to RSVGone & TDIQuattro, good to meet you both and a fun route there. Ah, Astons, if only I were to win the lottery!

Did anybody get a picture of the unusual looking Griffith parked in the line of spaces next to the path nearest the building? If I saw correctly, it had a Tuscan style headlight conversion where the original big single headlamps were replaced by pairs of small lamps in a diagonal pattern. I didn't think to take a closer look until it was too late. Some Google searching reveals a handful of links to similar things but most are many years old now and not working.
Thanks to the volunteers & particularly the canteen girls - here's hoping for another Service in the future, armed with the knowledge that PHers like to park all together, and particularly enjoy bacon!

BlackCup said: Hi rob,
I saw you and the other half Sunday but by the time I'd clocked it was you you'd gone so sorry about that would have been good to chat! Didn't realise you had a 540 too, did you fancy a cruise rather than hoon?
Matt Hiya Matt. I didn't even see you! Sorry about that. It would have been good to catch up. Yeah, I fancied taking the 540i and remembered exactly why I bought it in the first place. You can cover ground pretty quickly in it and still feel fresh after a long drive. You're right though, it's definitely the 'cruising' car.

Had an excellent time with my boy who throughly enjoyed it and was very pleased as we squeezed in the last hours so he woke up to find me cleaning the car ready to go! Thanks PH and Aston Martin. Justin & Sam

Nice bit about us on their page:
Aston Martin PistonHeads Sunday Service: We opened the doors to our global headquarters last weekend for members of the online motoring community ‘Pistonheads’ (www.pistonheads.com) to hold a very special ‘Sunday Service’. On a strictly first come basis, Pistonheads members applied for tickets to the exclusive event which gave them access to Gaydon, the home of Aston Martin. Over 500 people attended throughout the day, all were able to see our current model range - including the new Vanquish and limited edition V12 Zagato – as well as a selection of Aston Martin Racing cars and a variety of heritage models. We'd like to thank everyone who attended!

I might have to change the saving plan from my Porsche 911 to an Aston Martin now

I might have to change the saving plan from my Porsche 911 to an Aston Martin now I still say that Aston Martin produce boringly styled cars, however, I will concede that I looked up prices of Vantage models on returning home. I kind of "get" the company a bit now. Still sad that they're not the brand I really loved as a kid anymore but I like the one it's become more.
