I recall reading in a main dealer magazine, an article about how Garmin developed a new satnav system for the Virage. I do not know, but presumably that satnav is now being fitted to the other Aston Martin models. I believe you are correct Jon - it's certainly in the V8VS although I'm not going to stick my head on the block and guarantee that it is standard on every car from 2011 onwards. With Aston Martin, you just never know

Just looked at Apple's keynote in more detail. It seems that AM did not choose to be an initial partner for integrating Apple's interface into their cars. Shame. Jaguar was on the list, though.

Given that technology moves on so quickly these days, sat nav systems are dated before they are launched in cars so probably in the future manufacturers must focus on "open" systems that can be constantly upgraded or simply rely on interfaces where the customer can attach his device. I think it's OK as well. It's pretty primitive, but overall I use it in preference to my (pretty decent) TomTom. Good signal, not too slow, decent directions (with 2010 disks), integrates with audio system. Plus you get the stern "governess" voice "Turn Left!" - Steve
