Hi Guys,

was the senior TT meant to be on at 9pm on ITV4?
I can see Billy Connoly show but no TT.
I havent read any recent posts incase it has the race result but why is ITV not showing it?

Senior's been cancelled. Lightweight ran tonight, and guess that'll be on tomorrow night.

If you missed it Guy Martin won the Senior, followed closely by McPint and some Kiwi.......;)

No seriously the senior race has been cancelled, there won't be one this year.

And football is for queers, it must be the campest game around.

Gutted it was cancelled, but safetey of the riders, spectators, marshalls and helicopter pilot is the most important thing.

Oh well, bring on next year!

What a complete arse, I've been looking forward to the senior all week, I'm glad I didn't spend a shedload of cash going this year as I was going to.
It is a crying shame. And it seems odd that what is the absolute blue ribbon event is the one that gets cancelled. Make no mistake, the Senior's the one that really, really matters to the riders.

My brother was due to be flown out there yesterday to watch it. When it was postponed they lost their landing slot (or something) which is disappointing enough, but for all the teams, riders and spectators to not see the Senior is terrible.

I understand that rider's safety has to come first and don't question the decision to cancel it for one minute. I do wonder though whether maybe they should break with tradition and run the Senior earlier in the week in the future, to give them more margin to postpone?
Good call yes
Eh?

Historically, the senior was the race at the end of the week where riders could run whichever bike they wanted from the weeks racing, and picked the one that had served them best.

These days, it's a re run of the race that was held last Saturday. So htf do you run it earlier in the week?

I thought that 'historically' it was a round of the 500GP series?

Seemed a bit morbid to me.

Why all the close ups of marks on the road, red flags, and the rip at the end?

Some of the shots where cool. Why all the negativity

Speaking to some of the lads about this when we were at the NW200, WSBK are going back To 17" wheels next year, so, the FIM spec Superbikes will also have to run them on the island, they won't use inters, so send them out on racetecs or supercorsas, the superstock lads use them ok and there isn't that much of a gap in power (unless you compare Hutchys swan yam, 168bhp in stock trim, 232 on his full Blown ex tommy hill ex marco melandri factory yam) so the tyres would last.

Anyone upset at the lack of senior yesterday, I advise against checking the webcams this morning. It's a beauty.

Well, that was my first TT. Flew out Thursday for Senior day, home again Saturday. Disaster, but no-ones fault. Trying to be positive about it, was a good fact finding mission for 2013. Think I will try and go for the whole of race week next year so I get to see something. I'm thinking about flying in again and getting around by public transport. With a bit of pre planning around where you want to be each day, it looks possible. Has anyone done it that way?
