How have I just found this thread here's mine, it's a 2010 883 iron. Few little mods all cosmetic, couldn't see the point getting a stage 1 tuning kit to try and make it a bit faster as I may as well have bought a 1200. A another angle after a all day blast covering about 300 miles

Cheaper than buying another bike - the 883 and 1200 are pretty well the same bike apart from bore size and valve size. I had a V Rod in for a service/tyre/mot last week and went the long way back from the mot place. Always a test of a good bike when I want to do that! Next day had a Rocker, couldn't get back to thw workshop soon enough on that!

The VRSCR 'street rod' was the racing type model with mid mounted pegs: http://motorsportwallpaper.net/wp-content/uploads/...The VRSCD 'night rod' was the mid mounted peg cruiser version with a 180 rear tyre: http://www.bikez.com/pictures/harley-davidson/2006...The VRSCDX 'night rod special' shown is the forward mounted peg cruiser with a 240 rear tyre. When I bought my CDX In 2007 you could choose any of the three, in 2008 the VRSCR was dropped, followed by the VRSCD then the muscle was introduced.

A another angle after a all day blast covering about 300 miles What's the exhaust set-up you've got there mate? I'm toying with the idea of an Iron but I was pretty underwhelmed with the standard pipes. V&H are seriously loud, probably too loud for me but they look the dogs brass clangers. Incidentally, took a Nightrod out for a test ride a couple of weeks ago, what a machine. I'm not the tallest of chaps so it was a bit of a struggle sometimes and taking it up to a ton was a challenge as you act as a bit of an air scoop and found myself concentrating on simply hanging on for dear life or getting blown off. Amazing looking thing though.

nothing current but I thought I'd share some old pics....I prefer old HDs anyway, the FXWDG was a nice engine but that's it. My old Iron Head undergoing surgery my first a 1975 FXE, man I loved that bike I know, it's a negative. I later resprayed it in old english white with red Harley Davidson badges, it had hi comp pistons, Manley sports valves and solids The Wideglide And one from the distant past
