Is anybody else trying to book the ferry for 2015 TT?

Steam packet phone lines have been engaged all day! I was trying for 2hrs non stop. I gave up after that!

Plus the website can't process the order as it's "busy"

It's a little frustrating!

I've never booked / been but I thought that ferry tickets only became available in November of the previous year and cancellations available in February of the same year, or something like that!?

Yup, was a proper PITA this morning - website wasn't working and I ended up dialling non stop for 2 hours (was permanently engaged) before finally getting in the queue to speak to someone, took 40 mins to get through! They really need a more robust booking system for the TT spike in demand.... I can only recommend keep on trying the phone line, got booked eventually!

Just managed to get an online booking about 10 mins ago (15:15). A lot of the popular sailings to/from Liverpool are now full! Good luck.....

I was thinking about trying to get there for my stag do next year, but to be honest booking it this early is ridiculous and not possible, so I think it's not doable. Shame really frown

Took All day but finally got it booked. 45 mins on hold once I'd got though. Apparently they can only accept 100 calls into the queuing system. That's why it's engaged all the time. Roll on TT 2015. ..... Oh and TT2014 yeh you too

What an effort, still least it's booked. Just need to sort the b&b out now...

I woke up at 8am to get ready to book but then thought about all the hassle I've had sorting out TT2014 and decided that I'll try the NW200 / Ulster GP next year.

I did mine at 08:30/08:45 this morning, looks like I got lucky..tried website it was fked so I rang them on the 01624 661661 number got straight through no issue at all, got the crossings I want staying 7 days instead of my usual 5 too...very lucky/happy.

Email confirmation came through within mins of hanging up too.

4 sleeps until I head up for TT2014 (my 14th visit to the TT)....can't wait.

Do the B&B prices shoot up for the TT week? I can't imagine business is all that brisk for the rest of the year, but for that one week where people are fighting to find the last bookings, I suppose perhaps they can charge what they want?

For ferry crossings and a couple of nights in a B&B, how much would that cost, as a rough estimate?

Camping is 7-10
Homestay is 25-30
Hotel/b&bs are 70-180,I've stayed in the 180 one twice for TT (our first ever visit then again on our 10th visit) and once out of TT period...it was 80 iirc during normal times.

all prices per night and off the top of my head.

Cheers Chris, I suppose as I'd be going with mates and leaving the mrs at home I'd probably rough it and homestay or book a cheaper end of the scale B&B with share a room with another bloke in my group. I'll definitely make a visit to the TT though, probably 2016 at the earliest as I'm not in the scrap for bookings for 2015.

We are camping this year purely because I struggled to get accom and it's getting tougher every year unless you get lucky with a cancellation.

You will still get a booking for 2015...people drop out all the time right up to last min.
If you want it it will happen

be lucky
