Yeah it's much easier to fold down and it gets that little bit lower which is good for rear visibility.

The next lot of fun and games will be the Megasquirt courtesy of Daz smile Going for semi-sequential, vectra injectors, LS coil packs (x8).
Are you upgrading the ECU ?

How come we don`t see you at local events .. ? You are a wizard at electrics so maybe you could look at my speedo .

Tell me about the LS coil packs ..

I'm going to send it to Phil for the upgrade as I wouldn't be able to make a decent job of it.
These are the LS coil packs, they have built in ignitors so it keeps all the heavy current away from the ECU

I've only been to Chatsworth so far, I'll start coming along to lots more next year though hopefully. I'm not too great with electric but just learn as I go, from reading online and mostly Pisthonheads. My speedo doesn't work either, hasn't worked since I changed the gauges and I've been too lazy to find out why, I just use my phone as a speedo

These were recommended by Phil as they are what he prefers so I'm guessing someone else has done it first? I'm going to measure everything up before ordering so if I can't work out a way to mount LS ones I will go for ford ones

Holy thread resurrection etc...

Simon, how have you done your dash - what material / finish is it and have you replaced your dials. I want to change mine to black and was thinking black woodgrain vinyl but yours looks like a "flat" black and very smart.

Also you don't have the CAD for the upper and lower dash too do you? If so could I have a copy please? I promise I will do a write-up of my changes in return!

WOW thats an old pic cool what you see is fake black carbon that still looks as good as the day I applied it (about 4 years ago) proving you prep the steel dash you can cover in any vinyl you like colours etc, they are so good nowadays, mine cost be less than £10 including the Swann Morton surgical blades

Thanks for the info, I was going to try a different layout in CAD and have the new dash laser profiled from the CAD then cover in vinyl. It's good to know that this can work and also lasts.

Don't suppose you (or anyone else reading) has the CAD of the Mk1 dash (upper and lower) do you?
