Yeah it's much easier to fold down and it gets that little bit lower which is good for rear visibility.
The next lot of fun and games will be the Megasquirt courtesy of Daz Going for semi-sequential, vectra injectors, LS coil packs (x8).
Are you upgrading the ECU ?The next lot of fun and games will be the Megasquirt courtesy of Daz Going for semi-sequential, vectra injectors, LS coil packs (x8).
How come we don`t see you at local events .. ? You are a wizard at electrics so maybe you could look at my speedo .
Tell me about the LS coil packs ..
I'm going to send it to Phil for the upgrade as I wouldn't be able to make a decent job of it.
These are the LS coil packs, they have built in ignitors so it keeps all the heavy current away from the ECU

I've only been to Chatsworth so far, I'll start coming along to lots more next year though hopefully. I'm not too great with electric but just learn as I go, from reading online and mostly Pisthonheads. My speedo doesn't work either, hasn't worked since I changed the gauges and I've been too lazy to find out why, I just use my phone as a speedo

Got t say you will need very short leads to each spark plug .. ! are you going to be the first to do it this way ?These are the LS coil packs, they have built in ignitors so it keeps all the heavy current away from the ECU

These were recommended by Phil as they are what he prefers so I'm guessing someone else has done it first? I'm going to measure everything up before ordering so if I can't work out a way to mount LS ones I will go for ford ones
Well I have a set of leads for the Ford one`s being thrown in if you needs them ..Simon says said:
Looking good Brett did something similar to my door cards too a couple of years back Faux Suede all the way from Thailand off Ebay enough to do both doors twice over for a fiver nice stuff to work with too, i thought the carpet looked crap An absolute piece of piss to do.
Holy thread resurrection etc...Edited by Simon says on Saturday 4th August 22:36
Simon, how have you done your dash - what material / finish is it and have you replaced your dials. I want to change mine to black and was thinking black woodgrain vinyl but yours looks like a "flat" black and very smart.
Also you don't have the CAD for the upper and lower dash too do you? If so could I have a copy please? I promise I will do a write-up of my changes in return!

Thanks for the info, I was going to try a different layout in CAD and have the new dash laser profiled from the CAD then cover in vinyl. It's good to know that this can work and also lasts.
Don't suppose you (or anyone else reading) has the CAD of the Mk1 dash (upper and lower) do you?
