Well according to Clarkson I can now officially call myself a petrolhead...picked up this morning, bit wet to really give it a proper drive but can already tell it's going to be fantastic to do so; the delicate steering feel is great.

Although I think I might look to get some Pilot Sports on it sooner than later as heard the P Zeros are very fair weather tires!

Well done, although strictly speaking Clarkson is / was wrong. You see anyone can buy an Alfa Romeo. Only a petrolhead would be silly enough to buy a second one.

Very nice - what extras are on it?

I can recommend the Michelins by the way.

And only a moron (or hopeless optimist, which might end up just being the same thing) would rely on one to start every timesmile. The wise Alfa owner diversifies risk by ensuring that they themselves or their partner has something reliable and German or Japanese.

Or, in our case, a Land Rover wobble

We morons try to cover the risk of non-starting by having a suitably large number of Alfas available. One of them will always start... smile

Now that's dedication!

Yes we've covered that risk, the other half has a very sensible and reliable Polo GTI!

Sorry, I think that’s not quite accurate. I follow the excellent logic as far as it goes but, surely, none of them is guaranteed to start every time but at least one should at any given point!

The biggest challenge is ensuring that the one that started in the morning, continues to behave itself all day...

I can't complain at all on this front, but realise that in posting this I have damned myself. Will pack a massive toolkit just in case. smile

Was that the one auctioned at the Classic Motor Show last month?
It looks as though you got a bit of a bargain there!

Racked up about 4k kms in 2.5 months and the Twinny behaved pretty good.
Tour to a car gallery, and as always there's good company to keep the spirits high.

Two wheels I know... The original Teardrops will be kept for summer (fresh Vreddie Ultracs in April) and two 10-point stars are waiting for two new Wintracs and a set of spacers to fill the gaps and keep the rear brakes clear.

Next: sorting a list of minor niggles and 305 brakes up front. Thinking about Sparco buckets to replace the original Lusso Momo leather. Kart-like behaviour does not like sliding bums, and the wife agrees...
