FWIW i drove an Elise down to Le Mans a few years ago & had to sit on extra seating pads to make a distance bearable & i don't have a lardy.

Short trips & track days i guess the extra supoprt is welcome but then i'd be fitting harnesses anyway.

Don`t limit yourself to Elise seats ,have a look at these Westfield seats!,car previuosly owned by sapper .They were purchased in this colour and matched perfectly.

I know a chap who purchased a pair of Cobra seats and then had the TVR logo embossed on to the head rests, they look brilliant, and no more backache !

Not particularly good pics but you get the idea, yes they fit.

Peter,
How do you rate the Elise seats for lateral support during on-track cornering? How do they compare with standard TVR seats and proper race seats for lateral support?

2 mk2 elise seats purchased from Douglas Valley, condition described as scabby, but the whole car will be going for a retrim and chassis refurb next month, so I'll fit them, see if I like them and then send it all away to be beautified....

Far more support then the standard seats.

On a T/D, on the twisties, I was always bracing myself against the door/transmission tunnel etc!

I am sure proper race seats give more lateral support, but I wouldn't want that for road driving.

Just to show you another option, I fitted MX5 seats in to mine.
No real difficulties in fitting them and they are far more comfortable than the originals
Cheers Andy

when i tried them, they fitted the original bolt holes too.....but in my case, reduced headroom just enough to cause me to notice the roof against my head....
