I have to pick up my daughter from Birmingham Uni on monday with all her s##t!
Thought I'd combine it with a trip on Sunday through Wales to Ludlow/Ironbridge area and spend the night before driving across to Brum sometime on Monday. I'm coming from Hampshire so will probably just do the A34/M4 and wondered if there are any recommendations for a good route through to make it interesting driving? I did the Petrolhead Nirvana trip through the Brecon Beacons and it's whetted my appetite for more! Any good pubs for a stop-over in the Ludlow/Ironbridge areas would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
Original Severn Bridge

(run back and forth as desired) >> Llangynidr >> B4558 >> Brecon
>> B4520 Upper Chapel >> left on to B4519 across Epynt firing ranges >> Garth >> A483 to Beulah
Right on to B4358 >> Newbridge on Wye - right then left to go north on same road to Llanyre and Crossgates on A44 >> east to Penybont >> left on to A488 to Monaughty >> right to Presteigne B4356 >> Shobdon and Mortimer's Cross on B4362 >> straight over to Richard's Castle and B4361 near Ludlow >> left B4361(still) in to Ludlow over Ludford bridge
Don't know about B&B, sorry but Tourist info should point you in right direction
Sorry this is so late but hope it may be of some use
