To be fair, the story is pretty badly reported in my opinion.
She wasn't too big to get out of her own house. As she was seriously ill, she needed to be carried out. The stretcher party of what, 10 strong men?, was to large to get out of the house. thats why they needed to knock the walls down and build that scaffold bridge. I'm sure that if she was not seriously ill she could have made it out her ebedroom and down the stairs perfectly well on her own. You dont get that big without access to the fridge after all....
the pictures of the house scream 'oh my god' but how much of that was put in place because of health and safety and all the rest?

Jamie VTS said: It is truely saddening that we share the country with enough cretins who want to read this kind of story that the paper continues to print drivel. After a quick look on todays Sun homepage;
"Medics smash house to save 63 stone teen"
"Kate Moss goes out with her flys undone"
"meet Zach who tried to eat absaloutely everything"
"David Beckham now has pink football boots"
"The sun is out...and so is imogen thomas who strips for champagne picnic"
"JedWard twins rescue Eurovision"
Really?! I find newspapers one of the most depressing things about the UK as seeing one reminds me that i share this place with some utter f king retards

She ought to move to Florida. She'd be a medium there and she'd love the fast food portions.

She needs to to face up to the fact that she needs to help herself first above anyone else. I don't see it happening though. edit Christ the Mail has some awful stories. woman glasses another woman and gets suspended. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2149452/Cl...Two thugs beat up goths http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/post.asp?h=0&am...

On the whole, I deplore the content in the DM, I hate the Heat style tit-bits, showing Z-list 'reality celebs' doing nothing but sunbathing - because that's seemingly all they can do, I hate most of the silly headlines and writing up of the stories - but then I always seem to stumble upon amazing articles like this, which keeps me logging on now and then for a trawl through the chaff, to see if there's any hidden gems... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2149899/Th...

Theres always someone that abuses the freedoms we have resulting in our stupid politicians thinking of new ways to screw with us.
I'm sure I remember the nanny state party pushing through some stupid low fat high carb ad campaign, with labels on sugary cereals etc.

Antonov 123 (I think) Built to carry the Soviet version of the space shuttle and now doing heavy haulage out of Ukraine I think. If I'm wrong it won't take long to be corrected round these parts.

At which point do you think for yourself that you're too fat?
Not leaving home for 6 months? 30 rescuers? Building a bridge...? Demolishing 2 walls?
And as for THIS comment:
"My teenage daughter Sophie is a Facebook friend of Georgia's." Is that above or below the status of a real friend?

There is no way she is 63st, according to the Wail she was around 18st in June 2009 so somehow she would have had to put on 15st a year between then and now

With that sort of attitude she will continue to be imprisoned. She needs to to face up to the fact that she needs to help herself first above anyone else. I don't see it happening though. Knowing the area quite well, as i live in the next valley over what is a pretty nice mountain road , and googled the approximate are where her house appears to be, its not even a 1mile walk to the gym, let alone to the bottom of the hill as she complains about! If she were driven there then its still only a 1.4mile trip! Working in the leisure industry i see people like her all the time unfortunately, tho granted not quite as overweight as she is! To answer Halb – she is the only one to blame for gaining the weight again since she lost it at the USA boot camp. She’s 19 ffs and perfectly capable of saying no to her mums junk food cooking. With regards to you saying there’s blame on her Gym & PT, they can only do as much as she is willing. Being a PT myself I know when a client isn’t pushing themselves or has given up, and no amount of pleading/persuading them will change them to work harder, it’s usually at that point that I cut my losses with them and take on more clients willing to stick at it. Unfortunately were in a society where its easier to give up after ‘trying’, she started a set meal, cooked for her, diet plan and gave up after doing it for under a month. Willpower is the greatest aid to losing weight and getting fitter, if you have little of it you cant expect to get much overall! She clearly lacks it, and yes her parents are not helping by all accounts, but it was reported on the radio today that the very first meal she had after returning from the fat camp was a McDonalds and fish and bloody chips later in the evening! Why did she eat them? “because all mum had in the house when i was hungry was frozen fish, so she fried me some chips to go with it”. That’s bad parenting right there for a start, knowing your daughter has just lost so much weight wouldn’t you have at least some fruit and veg in the house so she could snack on that if she got a little peckish!? But at the same time she could have said no to having it and chosen to get something healthier, there’s a 24hr tesco under a mile away ffs!!
