Just a quick question ... About a fortnight ago I had a new AP Racing clutch fitted. The car has been fine since, until today.

It seems that if you depress the clutch, the revs drop and hold at 1500. I noticed this whilst slowly navigating a speed bump. It turns out that if you depress the clutch (or put the car into neutral) at any speed between 10mph and 70mph, the revs drop and hold at 1500. At slower speeds, it almost feels as if the car is being pulled along with no accelerator input, but I tried coasting and the car does come to a stop.

Strangely if you go below 5mph (ish), the revs drop to about 900, as you'd expect ... ? confused Although when stationary, the revs rise and fall from 900 to 1000 and back to 900 every second. I have a video of this that I can upload later smile

What do you think it could be? Anything serious? Is it possibly something to do with the clutch?

Any help is much appreciated! smile

Apologies for the awful camera quality, but you can just see the rising and falling of RPM when stationary ...

Is that controlled by the ECU? I've been out in the car three further times this evening and it hasn't done it again, so everything looks to be okay smile

It sounds to me like your TPS is on its way out. You can try a re set by turning the ignition on and you will hear everything set. Pump the pedal 5 times up and down slowly then re start. The chances are you need a new TPS though.

Cheers for this! It's been fine ever since, but I'll keep TPS in mind, just in case smile
