My car was stolen three months ago and was recoverd two weeks ago.
the car was in as close to new condition as you could get, everything that could be changed had been done in the las two years.
1990 G with all extras and Z1 alloys to boot
I have been offered £2000 from the insurance as the car was written off by the rag headded bastards that wrecked it.
now I have been arguing the toss with the assesor as I have been unable to find a car of similar age condition or speck inder £3500, what can I do about his offer? anyone have any dealings with insurance assesors?

Dont accept the first, or second offer!
Sisters car was written off and they offered £800. I argued that it was worth £1500 to £1800 and showed clippings from Autotrader etc.
They accepted the £1,500 and paid up. I should have asked for more.
Have a look in the Autotrader and look in the Price Guide books. Use those prices and put it to the Ins Co.
