So it may as well be me. I am about to foray into the murky world of pre-war motoring (1920 - 1930's) has anyone here had any experience of these cars?

Bentley blowers to Austin 7 and everything inbetween.

Or perhaps you have owned cars from the slightly more modern era's, I would be interested to hear.

My Grandfather raced for MG in the 30's. I have all his paperwork and booklets etc. I will be happy to post some scans of things if people want me too? (prep notes from 1933 Monte carlo rally etc)

I have a 1932 austin seven special, it's great fun to drive, everybody waves and when you park it be prepared for crowds to appear.

Look at those costs on Vixby post, great stuff.

All old cars start life young D3ano, never mind mate your car will be classed (by some) as an ole banger soon enough

I was brought up spectating at VSCC events. I now have a Alvis 12/50, see profile, and my girlfriend has a A7. Our repective brothers have a Frazer Nash and a Speed 20 Alvis.

As a PH/TVR owner I hope you are more interested in using the car than just doing the local show, if so find out more about the [url]VSCC|www.vscc.co.uk[/url], which promotes, races, sprints (I did my first this year in the 12/50) hill climbs and navigation events, runs and driving tests and even mud plugging.
Also many of the common Britich make are in the Inter Register which promotes more gentile events.

Do tell us more about your plans.

Henly was the London Alvis dealer until about then, when Chas Follet took over.
