Taycan - Public Charging Cable

Is the Taycon Configurator - Public Charging Cable (Mode 3), Type 2, mode 3 charging cable for charging at AC public charging pedestals (4.5-metre length)

Is it a Single Phase or 3Phase Cable? - asked the local dealership, they don't know!

About to order a Porsche Taycan and can’t seem to get a clear answer on charging cables.
Understand for the 50kw and above chargers they are all tethered no need for a cable.
For Home Charging - 7.2kw a 32 Amp Single Phase cable is all that’s needed.
For 11kw and 22kw Public Chargers – am I correct in stating you need a 3Phase Cable in order to charge at those rates? If that is the case can you use a 3Phase cable also at home in a standard 7.2kw Charger (EO Mini – but no 3 phase electricity at home) i.e. is the cable backwards compatible to 7.2 kw.
Therefore, other than cost of a 3Phase, is there any downside in ordering one as your main cable for home and in the car for Public Charging on the move. Where I park at work there are 22kw chargers.

And last question – any particular recommendations for a cable to purchase?

The type 2 cable is not dependant on phase ( 1 or 3), it is simply used for public ac chargers that have no cable. These are usually 7, 11 or 22 kw in the U.K. and the cable will work with all of them.

Note the current Taycan can only take max 11kw though.

You can buy cheaper more convenient type 2 cables so you don’t have to buy the Porsche one at all.

Taycan public charging cable is 3 phase 32a so good for 22kw. Current obc is only 11kw obviously so that’s the most you’ll get but 32a means you’ll get 7kw off a single phase 7kw charger too.

Note the Porsche PHEV cables are not 32a 400v so not the same as Taycan.
