Evening,
I am in the fortunate position to be looking for a new car, pretty much immediately. Long story short, I have been looking for a long time now as to what to purchase and the range has been very wide to say the least, 911's, Volvo V60 Polestars and a lot inbetween.

I've finally decided on an Evora. It will be kind of a daily but really only for me. We have another car when we need room, 5 seta etc etc.

The issue is deciding which Evora to opt for. My ideal budget of £50 to £55K seems to drop me straight into no mans land.

The two cars I have narrowed it down to are the 400 and the 410. My budget seems to get me a very good 400, but not a 410.

Would you wait/save or go for the 400? Seems I need another 10 to 15K for a 410?

I might be in the minority but from purely a looks perspective, I prefer the 400, but would putting 55K into one be sensible?

I think that both the 400 and 41o are brilliant cars. So if you are in the market for a 400 and like the looks specifically, then that's the decision made. You won't go wrong with a well bought 400.

Is the number of former keepers on these a worry? I see some cars have only 20,000 miles on, but 4+ numbers of owners, or is that not something to be too concerned about?

Well I`ve been lucky enough to own a 350S 2011, a 2013 SR IPS, a 2016 400 Hethel edition, and now a 2019 GT410 Sport...all great cars with different strengths and weaknesses. Whilst no car is ever perfect, for me the GT410 is the best of the bunch and a car I`ll be very reluctant to move on...and I`ve been lucky enough in recent years to own a couple of much more expensive and faster cars and I really rate all Evoras but overall the the 410 is the best. I think for road use I think the 410 GT (not sport variant) might be the better as the sport is definitely firmer and more track biased, but that is relative.

I think some of the issues with the earlier cars is now old news and whilst there is always the possibility of niggles, the newer cars are pretty solid.

Well, today I bought a 2016 400. Collect on Friday. I'm very happy with it, and as I said, all else being equal, I prefer the look of the 400. Warrantied and 21K miles. Looks like a new car to me. Didn't stretch my budget either so happy days thumbup

I do envy you, always thought the Evora a pretty car.

If I were able, I'd have one for my daily driver, no question.

Thank you. I think pretty is the right word. For me the 400 retains that from the SR whereas the 410 leans a little further towards purposeful rather than pretty. One isn’t better or worse, personal preference and all that.

Hi hope you dont mind me jumping in. I'm in a similar postion to you wanting to spend up to £65K max on a 400 or early 410 as you said no mans land. Was actually keeping my eye on the car you've bought. I told myself i didnt want another Black car but that one with the Red Leather looks the best ive seen. Ive been looking now for the best part of 18 months & now have the desired amount of wonga. Its been amazing to watch the values of some increase in the past 12 months most notatbly the White 410 at Hendy with the Blue interior. This time last year £73K now asking £75K.
As soon as the right one comes along im gonna snap it up! Not many out their now for sale so you could probably trade up to a 410 for very little loss on yours. Enjoy your new toy!

Depending on where you stand (or sit) in regard to the carbon buckets, there's the 410Sport at Silverstone https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/12776781

I really liked those seats in mine

No worries. Identical situation by the sounds. I didn’t really want black either tbh. I’ll spend as much time cleaning as driving. But, it was the best I’d seen so I just thought sod it.
