I love things like this where a 'proper' driver demonstrates the differences between the disciplines......

More people need to do it, especially ex f1 drivers. the hilarious but about the story is that Hakkinen is a fairly decent rally driver himself and competed a few times when he stopped f1, so for him to be a little intimated shows it.

I would also add that at a certain level top WEC and GT drivers are fairly serious too, in terms of what they have to deal with aswell as just driving which in reality is all an f1 driver has to do, if they did it flat out for 2 hours fair enough, but it is clear they do not.

Not saying F1 drivers are not the top level, they clearly are, but i think they are a little pampered in terms of what they think!

Imagine how quick a Hyundai WRC would be or a Toyota WEC car if it had a couple of thousands people working n it money no expenseQ!

Those who are at the very top of any discipline, should scare the hell out of those who usually do another.

The rally driver would have been begging for his neck to fall off after a few laps as an F1 passenger. They would both have brown trousers on the back of a superbike, or in a midfield car at the N24 with other cars both passing and being passed all over the place.

It’s always brilliant to watch! biggrin

Yup - I think DC would scare himself if he was a passenger, however the proximity of the trees must be worse than a street circuit.
