I was surprised the police are more popular than Floyd and zeppelin.

If you're basing in that video, Pink Floyd don't qualify, Their last studio album was released in 2014. Led Zep released a live album of a 2007 concert, so that may have discounted them as well.
Having said that, there as many different lists as you want to find!

I'm going to see Cymande next weekend. Very excited for this one.
I was born a decade and a half after they originally disbanded. They were the preserve of crate diggers for decades since but have recently been brought into the light by massive hip hop groups.
Article here: Cymande's music is no longer lost in history

Sorry I don’t see any relevance , streaming figures are reflective of now and the future ,album sales reflect the past .Having said that, there as many different lists as you want to find!

I watched the same video. The crucial element is bands that have not released new music in X years, hence Police etc. That's why ABBA are missing, they released an album a few years back.I was surprised the police are more popular than Floyd and zeppelin.

The one I'm surprised by is the lack of Dire Straits.
I've never really understood the love for Queen.
Music is a very subjective thing - One man's music is another's noise.
Of course, what 'old bands' people listen to today may be radically different to what they listen to in 2100.
Very few of us will be around to know if he was right, but they'll probably have forgotten!
