My office desktop that is used for gaming, pottering video and photo editing is getting a bit long in the tooth.
It's lags a bit in some games, I have to turn stuff down - some of my video programs take ages to run. Monitor is a 1440 so this doesn't need to be cutting edge it's running Helldivers 2 ok ish, and Deep Rock Galactic Survivors. I already have another gaming rig for 4k/VR as a simrig elsewhere so this is an economy build.

Come up with this.

I'm going to reuse the case, psu and there are a couple of SSD's and storage drives that will be recycled. The GPU (a 1080)will remain for now benchmarks tell me it's relatively strong for its age and the existing cpu (i5 3570)/memory/hdd is what is letting me down.

Let me know what you think.
I don't do overclocking, I don't need wifi on the mobo, no need for RGB it lives under my desk and I'm not 14. It does need the ability to have 2-3 sata drives.
£514 is the current spend, I'd aimed for £500.

If the motherboard supports overclocking and it's running sensible temperatures, I'd do it.

I just bought a new PC and it came clocked! It's the future.
