It's funny
But also I wouldn't be proud of my kids if they talked like that at the girls age.
The mums obviously happy as they've gone viral which was the obvious intention.
Simply a reflection of the way society is heading.

On the topic of Ice Cream prices, I've posted before about checking out Poundland's freezer section for deals. Often weird foreign brands and strange flavours (liquorice & banana was one), but great value.

My current fave is Dale Farm Choc Pop mint chocolate chip. It looks very much like a children's thing, with the cartoon crocodile on the front, but it's £1.25 for a 900ml tub and it's staggeringly good. I served it up to a guest last week who declared it the best mint chocolate chip ice cream she'd ever eaten.

I've got about 10 tubs in the chest freezer to keep me going.

Wiat, what ?! rofl That's got to be a voice overlay, surely? Nobody speaks like that at that age.

They certainly do, have you never watched the TV series Heartbeat? That young girl reminded me of a few girls in my class when I lived in Bolton at the age of ten.

Sticks.

I’d rather have kids talk like this than £9 ice cream cones.

12p for an ice cream cone in the supermarket, so probably costs them less if they're buying in bulk. mr whippy is mostly air. How much does that twirl of ice cream cost them? probably not even 50p surely.

Just paid £7 for 2 x small 99s halfway walking round Tatton Park.

Right place, right time, but £5 would have been fairer.

I did manage to leave without passing judgement, but soon, there were another 10 punters doing exactly the same. Market economics, I suppose.

All the things the rest of us complain about: road tax, insurance, diesel, cost of vehicle maintenance, congestion charges / ULEZ.

Plus pitch fees and staff wages, before you even get to the cost of ingredients, containers, spoons etc.

Bit like the bloke who charged me 250 for flashing over a few scratches with 50p of paint.

It’s all about making a living.

Ice cream cones 14 for 400 odd fwiw but only for 6-7 months of the year.

We quite often have a choc ice for dessert.

Pre COVID in Tesco they were £1.00 for a box of eight. During COVID the number was reduced to six, still a £1.00

Last year they went up to £1.50 for six.

We stock up in Iceland on a Tuesday. Still £1.50 for six, but we get the OAP 10% discount. Plus Iceland do six of their own Cornetto style cones for £1.50.

We bought two ice creams at a seaside ice cream parlour last week. Didn't get any change from £8. I did get a filthy look as I didn't contribute to the tips jar on the counter.

Can be very expensive (two scoops, some flavoured syrup and those waffle sticks etc), and that’s just outside the park/water reservoir…nothing new though.

£1.50 each for a cornetto by the beach from a bowling club smile or go to the ice cream van and pay double.

No idea how much these were. I choose to ignore things like this to save the pain.
