SWH said: Best bit.... 10/10 for my mother on the other end of the phone, hearing the Minor go past on overrun and saying, "That sounds like a Morris Minor..." Well done your mum, plus of course the first gear noise as a Minor pulls away - unmistakable to anyone of a certain age

Saw an oddity this morning. I really wasn't sure what it was as I was going the other way and only got a glance, I thought I saw what said stutz in a kind of stencil style on the back (I was reading this backwards in the mirror) it was red and looked a lot like this one. Couldn't find any google reference to these being on the road in the uk. Pretty amazing if that is what it really was.

There are, I think, 3 Bearcats in the UK. The red one with Stutz written on it was for sale for a while last year. It has a longer wheelbase and isn't as sporty.
EDIT - i.e. it isn't a Bearcat, unlike the one in the link above.

The questionable coolness of any one car posted is of course up for discussion and may not float everyone's boat. If you don't like it, you can say so, but it doesn't really do to call the poster a w ker.

Here-Here Sir! McAndy said: For goodness sake give it a rest with the debates and post more cars please.
We all agree that both cool and classic are subjective (unless you get the DVLA involved) so just appreciate the posts you like and ignore the ones you don't.

saladin said: Went to Prescott last night.... No debating whether these are cool or not On a similar theme, this 1930 4-1/2 Litre Blower belongs to a friend of mine, he bought it a few years ago and uses it regularly in the summer, it looks and sounds superb.

I wonder what satisfaction the lowlifes who throw paintstripper over cars get out of doing it? I'll never understand that sort of mentality but I know I'd give the b ds plenty of time to think about it if it were up to me

These Facels were at Sunday's Duxford show. What can you tell me about the rather gauche one on the left? (do you see what I did there?) I think it's been commented on here before but I can't remember the details.

But the name is misleading, for it wasn't built by Zagato. This car was built for a British member of the Amicale Facel Vega. Everything was revised and modernized in order to create a "modern classic": steering, suspension, 8.2-litre-engine, overdrive,... . The rebuild should have lasted 3 years, in fact it lasted 12 years. The owner even thinks of installing a Dodge Viper engine.

I've been hunting for information on that car since seeing it at Goodwood ~2 years ago!

Wow! Never seen that odd Facel before, wish I'd gone to Duxford, it's only a 15 minute drive away. Saw that turquoise HK500 at Goodwood last year. Stunning.
