This thread is supposed to be UNLOVED SUPERCARS,not Unusual Supercars or even unusual cars.
Which ones do you think qualify? Please, the more the better as far as I'm concerned nerd

It has strayed slightly, but it's still a great thread that grows daily smile

I'm happy with unusual super (or sports) cars. Keep them coming.

One of the best threads for ages Paul!

Another one for the Cizetta here. I always thought it looked way cool as a kid!

What about the Pantera, always come across as a bit unloved as it doesn't have the pedigree of having an exotic multicam'd italian engine.

That's exactly the reason it has so many fans today! The DTP must be one of the best used supercars.

I was thinking this morning of Japanese supercars and rarities, but can't think of many.

The NSX was loved by everyone, but are there any others?

Subaru SVX? 240 BHP - Ok, so "Supercar" may be pushing it a little but 150 mph's not too shoddy!

1. The Lamborghini Jalpa.

I love these cars, and in my dream garage it would sit alongside an 80's Aston Vantage. It's another one of those cars that I dream about, and I could look at all day long. In my eyes it is just perfect.

Not everyone agrees though, and it's not the most celebrated Lambo made. For that reason alone I thought it deserved a PH discussion smile
They're not all unloved!

Some photos of mine:

Lambourghini Jalpa? Hmmmmm i had a mad thought about one a few months ago when i had some spare money going about, even went to see one at Top Gear cars in Scotland. A fantastic little car, not the obvious choice when it comes to 80's Lambo's, based on the silouette (sp?), peach of a V8 and a targa roof for wind in your bald patch.

You can buy a Jalpa pretty cheaply but there is always the chance of a massive bill as it is a Lambo from the bad old days.
You'd be surprised: the problems are well documented, their is plenty of support for them and they don't go that wrong. Carlo, like his car, is pretty straight. The only issue with that car is the colour combo.

Finally a lot of people don't know what it is.

If you want to see a really unloved example:
Respectful nod coming your way sir for taking on one of these and loving it.

You mentioned Carlo's car so I looked it up and attach details here:

£14,990
1983
59,000 miles

Actually its offspring has already been mentioned above, cracking little cars though.

The 1994 Ford Maya....never heard of it hehe

I realise that it was a concept, but felt it was worth posting. Is it a Ford? Does it even exist?

Absolute work of art these lil' things, the attention to detail and build quality is just fabulous. A guy came in here a few months ago in a race livery of some sort but my memory is completely failing me as to what it was!

It exists, but it's from 1984 and that isn't it. The Maya's an Italdesign wedge, that abomination is a Locus Plethore.

Maya

Edited to add link.

I always thought the Yamaha concept was a great idea.

Soooo many 'super' cars are far too large and so pointless. The vast majority of the remaining small lightweights don't have a proper all weather canopy.

It's simply amazing how many manufacturers find these two basic elements impossible to comprehend. The exige and ginetta were an attempt to bridge the gap I suppose.

I have! But they are rare. The 3-wheeler is a far more common sight.
