Thats awesome!

Did anyone get the feeling that the takeover felt a bit like a playground fight, with German and the UK being the disapproving parents?

oh for the love of God !, how stupid is this man ?

how can it have a GDP - it's got bugger all space to do anything with. what does it export ?

besides which, in 1968 when he shot at the Royal Navy for intruding in 'his waters', why didn't the Navy just declare it an act of war/aggresion, and bomb the fk out of him

The Principality of Sealand is a micronation located on HM Fort Roughs, a former World War II Maunsell Sea Fort in the North Sea 10 km (six miles) off the coast of Suffolk, England.

Sealand is not currently officially recognized as a sovereign state by any United Nations member.
hehe

I didn't know about the take over and people being held hostage.

My father is officially "Lord iforb's dad of sealand".

You can buy the title for a couple of quid and I got it for him for a laugh. As far as I'm aware, it isn't an ex-oil rig, but a gun emplacement.

Puts me in mind of one of the spithead forts in the solent between portsmouth and the Isle of Wight.

People live on those too. Always wanted to do a tour!
