I would like to find an experienced detailer in North or West London or South Herts that could fit my car in for a day or two next week (prior to Bromley Paegent of motoring).
Car is a 21 year old white TVR wedge that has probably never had a two bucket wash in it's life let alone come into contact with a clay bar.
Ideally, wash, clay bar, machine polish and wax/sealant or whatever you think best.
Body is not perfect but better than reasionable.

Tim at Envy may be able to help, Kelly at KDS is another. I think Gleam Machine is based in Grays Essex so may be able to help you out.
It's a shame that the rules won't allow a sticky post of where the detailers are based and their contact details.

Really busy at the moment , i did wonder why i got a few calls all asking if i could detail customers cars so that the finish date is the 13th June !
Now makes alot of sense , got 2 cars this week going to the bromley show !

Hi Phil ,
If you find someone in the short time scale you have , i would suggest asking the detailer in question if they have had any experiance with older Fibreglass cars and have the correct paint depth gauge to measure on plastic , fibreglass and compositie materails .
The good thing about your car is its white the rest is all against the detailer , thin body panels which will heat up quickly with rotory machine correction , old hard paint due to age of the car , no doubt had some paintwork over its life so varying paint depth and hardness , i have seen bonnets on TVR's craze badly due to how thin the bonnet is and the heat generated by the musical instrument under the bonnet
Hundreds of heat cycles , expansion and contraction of composite materails with paint applied to them can give the paint a hard time and fail in the end .
Nice car BTW last one i saw in the flesh was the same in red owned by tim of act performance .

Thanks for the comments and pointing out the TVR weaknesses. Yes, not the greatest fibreglass bodyshells. My car in not one of the Kevlar/Carbon fibre mix SEAC's. I would think one of those would give you an even harder time.
I'll be calling Jay in Hertford later this morning as posted on the Detailers World site.
I'm not expecting too many miracles as the car has a bunch of stonechips but due to having booked into several shows this year I'd like the car looking as good as piossible prior to a full chassis then body restoration through the winter.
I like white.

Busy is good.
Will try and get down to see you at some point. Had any more orange peel bmws?It's been a bit manic lately and is for the forseeable future. Wanted to hit it full time this year but was put off by the recession. Still have to put things in place for next year. I'm sponsoring one of the time attack cars with detailing. Everytime i get it spotless it ends up covered in rubber and brake dust again lol.

Please excuse my photo's but I have a crap camera and I'm no David Bailey.
Considering this is the original paint on a 21 year old car I am extremely happy with how the old girl turned out.
Battle scars from lots of track day work with previous owners and the far from perfect bodywork from TVR in the 80's she will see me fine for this years shows until the start of a full restoration through next winter.
They took some much better and close-up shots of the work and will post them later.
