Small Caterham for my kid

Hi,
I´m thinking about bulding a small Caterham (cca 1:2 scale) for my kid.
The first version should be less powerful (50-100ccm) and simple as possible. So i got a kids quad as a "donor car" on my mind.
Take the front and rear suspension, engine, electrics etc. and build a frame from wood first to get everything in the right position.
Have someone built something like this? Can you give me some advice, pictures etc please?

Thanks a lot. That looks really well made. I would like to build one by myself, it won´t be that precise for the first time and i will learn on the first piece and as i finish (if i will
) i start building EVO.I still keep the idea with combustion engine.
But that one looks really really good. I will show it to my daughter and she will yell "Michael Caterham" as everytime we go to the garage or she sees a picture of a Caterham
