Recommendations for a cordless Dual Action car polisher needed please.

I know very little about the subject, so any pointers happily received.

Currently have Dewalt stuff and so looked at this as I have a few batteries, but seems expensive and maybe not as good as more specific car brands? -

Also what pads / polishing discs to match?

Thanks for that. I’ve heard of the DAS6 previously and it definitely gets good reviews.

I was hoping to go cordless, is there an equivalent?

Can anyone confirm if the Dewalt DWP848N uses standard 5” pads and any recommendations for what pads and solutions to use for a simple light cut and polish.

I've have the dewalt DWP848N, probably total overkill for my needs but like you I had the batteries and wanted a cordless polisher.
It does use the standard 5" pads, I bought a set of 3 chemical guys hex logic pads of differing grades with pad cleaner (this is very good!) for about £40. I use it with Farcela G3 and G10 compounds and G3 wax.

Only downside is it's a fairly heavy unit, you'll want 2 5 amp batteries to keep going all day. One will be charged by the time you flatten the other.
Very pleased I bought it, cordless was definitely the right decision, made light work of polishing a big twin axle caravan.
Thanks for that, very helpful. Just about to purchase.

I was looking at the Meguiars pads / solutions as they seem to be simple to match from the guides they have.

Where / what grade pads did you get from CG? Did you do 2 or 3 steps?

I’m absolutely clueless at the moment, so just trying to piece all the info.
