I've been watching Season 3 of The Big Bang Theory and I'm thoroughly enjoying it and I think it's one of the best comedies out of the US at the moment - It's had a slow start, but it's getting so much better. Seasons 1 and 2 are also (mostly) brilliant too.

My OH doesn't get it, nor does she think it's funny either.

Anyone else like it?

Penny - Mmm

I would, however, like to see Rajesh's character get more time - And I do hope Wolowitz isn't ruined by getting a girlfriend...

I've just finished watching Season two. Can't wait for the next one! The last half of season two especially stood out as being hilarious. Sheldon is a fantastic character.

When is it on?!!??!
Not sure when it's due for actual transmission in the UK, but I'm downloading it after it airs in the US as Torrents - The week long waits suck though!

What's with the vanity cards anyway?

And the last three have been laugh out loud funny - the series is building nicely, shame there's 2 weeks to the next one and 2 weeks to the following....

I wonder if what will happen further down the line will be that Koothrappali will be able to speak in front of Penny, but no other girls....

Just reading Wikipedia and read this:

WikiP said:
The show's initial pilot, developed for the 2006–07 television season, was substantially different from its current form. Only Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki were in the cast, and their across-the-hall neighbor Katie (played by actress Amanda Walsh ) was a much meaner character. They also had a female friend called Gilda (played by actress Iris Bahr). The show's original theme music was also different, using Thomas Dolby's hit "She Blinded Me With Science". The show was not picked up, but the creators were given an opportunity to revise the show, bringing in the remaining leading cast and retooling the show to its current format. The original unaired pilot has never been released on any official format but copies of it are floating around the internet with various collectors. On the evolution of the show, Lorre bluntly admitted "We did the 'Big Bang Pilot' about two and a half years ago, and it sucked...but there were two remarkable things that worked perfectly, and that was Johnny and Jim. We rewrote the thing entirely, and then we were blessed with Kaley and Simon and Kunal." As to whether the world will ever see that original pilot, maybe on a DVD, Lorre said "Wow that would be something, we will see. Show your failures..
Does anyone here know about this pilot at all?

For reference though I really like the final episode of Scrubs last night, just a shame they're going to drag it out longer with the "new version" which is clearly a bad idea.
Sorry. Penny is more cloud9

However - I fail to see how Scrubs will work without JD....

Yesterday's episode "The Maternal Congruence" was this season's best - Christine Baranski brings this episode to life - proper tea-snorting laughing smile

The next one isn't until January the 11th frown and features "Winnie" from "The Wonder Years" (having googled her - she's not a pretty sight...)

Minor (ish) resurrection....

It's back - was on in the US last night and I watched it just now - Not as good as the previous episode, but funny enough as Sheldon got some of the better lines smile

Also - trying googling some of the stuff on Sheldon's whiteboards - the list of terms on the board behind his desk turned out to be real projects in the area that the character is supposed to be working in. I wonder if the formulae are real as well...
They do, apparently, try hard to ensure that the equations and projects are real and progress through the series.

So they say...

I won't do that. I've done that with previous shows and feel like a cheated myself out of weeks of anticpation and excitment by watching it all before everyone else.

No, I like to watch them as they come, but ruin it all with sneak peeks. Much like finding the christmas presents in November.
Trouble is, you are open then to the downloaders spoiling things for you.. for example.....

The shock revelation that Penny and Leonard may be brother and sister.
Sheldon moves to Montana.
Raj suggests stabbing a ho.
The shock when Raj kisses Howard
The shock when Sheldon gets a girl pregnant
The shock when Penny gets her kit off

The last one was wishful thinking

Apparently there's one "to do with helium" which I'm *really* looking forward to.

I've read just enough spoilers to know that it's supposed to be achingly funny, but not enough to know what it's actually about. Just how I like it...
It's very, very good smile

They all are biggrin
