Done 1500 miles in my Spyder now. Lovely machine. The wheels were repainted in Porsche silver when I bought it as I didn't like black however they've already started chipping - worse on the deeply dished rears. Not helped that they seemingly just painted over the black so as soon as it chips I'm left with the black marks. Annoying but trying to not be precious about it.

What colour code is this? In the Spyder brochure it's just "silver" and it's very bright - high level of shine. I want to get a touch up pen to sort them as they happen.

If you pull off the centre cap the paint code is on the back.

Put 2 allen keys in the small holes and pull the cap off. Much better if you can get a full refurb done (dip and strip) rather than just a spray over.
They were done by Porsche Reading (aka Porsche GBHQ) so I was hoping for a proper job.

Good tip though - I'll take them off and have a look. To the other poster - they are new centre caps to match the wheel colour change.

It's not regular alloy wheel silver - it's almost got a chromelike appearance to it.
