Could anyone tell me what the clutch master cylinder is off(land rover defender 90 rings a bell)
Also just stripped the pedal box out of the car to replace the brake master cylinder, to find the servo full of brake fluid ! What is the servo off a Fiesta?
Thanks

Having trouble with brakes international cross referencing my part number and even the one Barreti quoted.
Just for reference my master cylinder on the face that mounts to the servo is flat. The one sourced from a local motor factors had a recess on the master cylinder face?
The servo itself has a little thin seal around the orifice of the servo bore?
Any clues? Thanks

Cheers Ian. Thanks for digging out your invoice. What a bloody week of farting about.
We'll get there in the end.

Well had a delivery from the suppliers today. Same thing again, got the recess on the mating face of the master cylinder. They had all the reference numbers i could muster, even Barreti's code off his cylinder. they say that is the one.
So i've made a thin mating plate to replicate my old one

One of the reasons for making this plate,is to get a good seal, so the servo works ?. Also the engine would run incorrectly with extra air being drawn in.

Simon, now that would make sense looking inside the servo. You can see a lip seal which indeed surrounds the pushrods. I was drawn to ( what I thought was a seal), on the outside of the servo, thinking that would need to seal against the face of the master cylinder. Well you live and learn. Thanks
Chris

Well after all the messing about eventually got the pedal assembly sorted. While the pedal assembly was out I decided to strip it, blast it and get it all powder coated. Along with the steering column assembly.
The brake and clutch master cylinders both work great now, thanks to all the lads replies on here. This really does prove that these postings do work !
I would post some pics, but the file size is too big. Sorry
