311 curves in 11 miles...
US-based Lotus enthusiasts' group Club111 is hosting its first national gathering in Deals Gap, North Carolina from 19-21 October.
The gap consists of 311 curves in 11 miles and is also known as the "tail of the dragon" -- sounds worth it for the drive there alone. According to organiser Robert Konick, car enthusiasts come to the gap from all over the world to drive this challenging road.
Over the three days, the club will be hosting discussions and presentations with representatives from Lotus Cars plc and Lotus Cars USA.
Also planned to attend are all of the premiere third party accessory and after-market suppliers in North America including Blackwatch Racing and Sector111. Planned trips include the historic Biltmore Estate and a tech session at Ohlin's US facilities in Henderson.
