Now the first customer cars have been built and have been getting their pre-delivery shakedown ahead of being loaded onto a special sleigh for delivery to their lucky new owners, just in time for Christmas. Better than the pair of socks you'll be getting from your auntie. Probably.
Appropriate for a car only able to be used on track, each Vulcan is getting a thorough shakedown by Aston Martin Racing factory driver Darren Turner, these four getting their final set-up at Rockingham just last week and looking especially lean and mean in their plain, unliveried state. Just 24 will be built at a cost of £1.5m plus taxes, the 800hp, 7.0-litre V12 engine and Xtrac sequential transmission offering their owners plenty to get to grips with when they attend the dedicated track sessions at selected circuits from next year.
Looks like a few folk are going to have a very happy Christmas indeed. Their new year doesn't sound too shabby either.
