As a result of years of motor racing success, Robb has developed a unique training programme that provides drivers with the building blocks to gain a complete understanding of dynamic car control. This understanding is achieved through a mixture of classroom and practical instruction where attendees can experience, in a safe environment, the art of car control, with and without driver electronic aids.
The course provides the driver with a full dynamic awareness that effectively imparts a level of car control that is unsurpassed. It is incredibly empowering and provides the driver with the skills required to be able to react and adapt to the three critical motions of car control.
This greater appreciation of the affect a drivers input has on the stability of the vehicle and the ability to gain a directional change in the most challenging of situations is a must for road safety and track driving.
The one day training programme takes place at the Transport Research Laboratory in Berkshire, and costs £360.00 if using the attendee's own vehicle or £625.00 if using an Ultimate Car Control vehicle. Prices include vat and are payable at time of booking.
Course Content
Introduction
• Classroom introduction delivered by Robb Gravett to include weight transfer, braking, steering, roll oversteer, power oversteer and understeer
Practical Driving Dynamics
• Braking – obtaining the maximum braking efficiency
• Steering – obtaining an enhanced directional change
• Roll oversteer – negating the causes of roll oversteer
• Understeer – stopping and/or reducing understeer
• Oversteer – reducing oversteer through driver input
Presentation and Close
• Closing summary
• Presentation of certification to each member
The course runs from 9:00 until 16:45, breakfast, lunch and full refreshments will be served throughout the day and are included in the cost.
