Prescott hill Climb
Prescott hill Climb
Date(s): Saturday 31st August - Sunday 1st September
Summary: Prescott Gold Cup
Venue: Prescott
Details: Speed Hill climbing is one of the oldest forms of motorsport, with the earliest events taking place in the late 19th Century in the UK and Europe. The sport follows a very simple format which hasn't changed since its inception; all vehicles are timed from point A to point B from a standing start. In 1947 the RAC formalised speed hill climbing in the UK with the start of the British Hill climb Championship (the first such championship in British Motorsport) and the championship is still going strong to this day.

The 17 round series runs from Scotland to Devon and from the Channel Islands to Northern Ireland and features a huge variety of cars from humble saloons through to F1-engined, purpose built single-seaters running within a class structure. Come and see the fastest cars and drivers on what is often the deciding round of the Championship

Other attractions: Bugatti Car Handicap, Prescott ‘B’ Licence Challenge, Shell Fuels Hill Climb Championship, Y Gelli Book Auctions Challenge Trophy, 2nd round of the Midland Hill Climb Championship, Prescott Gold Cup, Paul Matty Sportscars Classic Championship and the NHCA Motor Cycles
